Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources and Empowerment KCARE (formerly known as KAHCF/KCAL/KSLA) advocates, educates, and promotes Kentucky’s long-term care facilities and assisted living communities

Established in 1954, the Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources and Empowerment (KCARE, formerly KAHCF/KCAL/KSLA) is the trade association that represents propriety and nonproprietary nursing facilities and personal care homes across the Commonwealth. One of the state affiliates of the American Health Care Association, KCARE provides a wide variety of services to member facilities including legislative and regulatory activities, professional development, statewide recognition programs, publications, media relations, research and advocacy relations.

Four Assisted Living Providers Named ‘Best of Kentucky’
Awards given by Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources and Empowerment
Louisville, Ky. – On Thursday, November 20, the Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources and Empowerment (KCARE) honored the top assisted living communities in Kentucky at its quality awards banquet. Below is a list of the winners and their location:

“In our first year presenting an award celebrating excellence in assisted living communities, we are thrilled to recognize such exceptional providers,” said KCARE President Adam Mather. “These communities have faced challenges with innovation and positivity and have gone above and beyond to ensure the best quality of life for their residents.”

The Best of Kentucky – Assisted Living honorees must not have received a Type A citation during their annual survey to be recognized. Applicants were asked to respond to a series of questions designed to measure various components of quality.

Long-term care and assisted living providers from across the state attended the Annual Meeting & Expo in Louisville. Participants furthered their knowledge of senior care with a variety of educational options including strategies to cope with stress on the job, hiring and retaining quality staff and regulatory issues. More than 100 vendors exhibited during the expo, showcasing the latest innovations to provide quality care.
