Joshua Gaither was known by his family and friends as the “Explorer of the Universe”. He was a philosophy major who loved traveling the world to experience and learn various cultures. Joshua had a passion for people, animals, poetry and art.

The classic gray granite books represent a yearning to learn as much as he could. He read every book he came across. He was captivated by cats and photographed them from all over the world. Much like Joshua’s personality, cats symbolize grace, intelligence, and independence, hence the sleeping bronze cat on the stack of books. He was very fond of the Ananse Ntontan (a-NAN-Si N-ton-TAN) symbol, which means Spider's Web. It is a symbol of wisdom, creativity, and the complexities of life.

Joshua brought a wit and charm seldom seen, and his sweet smile and kind spirit touched all who knew him. The family wanted a unique monument that could capture his essence and like him, bring a sense of curiosity when seeing such a unique memorial.

Mr. and Mrs. Snively wanted something unique and special but didn’t know how to describe it. After losing their son Jeremiah unexpectedly, Mrs. Snively had a beautiful dream of Jeremiah being happy and free. She remembered her and her husband overlooking grassy hills while standing under a large tree. They were waving to Jeremiah as he was walking off into the bright sunlight, and he was telling them not to worry, everything is going to be okay.

She woke up to the most tranquil feeling she ever had. This angelic dream along with one of her favorite Bible verses, Jeremiah 29:11, gave her the strength to help with their grief and knowing the Lord has other plans for their son. It also set forth the design concept for the Snively memorial.

Mrs. Snively's dream was recreated in fused glass to showcase the vivid colors of greens, blues, and yellows that she remembered. The complete circular shape into the base is symbolic of the strong circle created by family and friends when they surrounded them in their tragic time of need. A simple core hole off to the right allows for perennial flowers to be planted to come back year after year.

Music was Joshua’s life. As a music teacher, choir director, and coach, he set to work daily to impact the lives of his sons, students, and friends. The music staff and notes are from “An Irish Blessing”. In essence, the prayer is telling us not to worry, because God “has our back” and is providing us with a path that will lead us through life, with as few challenges as possible.

In the Irish Blessing, the words, "May the road rise up to meet you”, gave the inspiration to create the “road rising up on the top left”. This road was paved with piano keys, since this was his favorite of many instruments he would play. And, a diamond
etched photo of Joshua overlooking an image of him playing for his two sons as they look up to their loving father adorns this carefully crafted memorial to Joshua D. Hein.

Please join us in congratulating Hank Reed on 50 years with our monument company! Yes, you read that right! What a milestone! For 50 years, Hank made a decision to stick with us. We are honored that he chose us.

Hank has been a valuable asset to our company. In addition to being a great artist, a fantastic guitar player, loving husband, father and grandfather, he is a true friend to all. Hank is kind, generous, witty, and simply a great person! He is a true blessing to work with and we are honored to have him as part of our family.
Happy 50th Anniversary Hank!

"She touched everyone" truly defines Lora as a teacher, a mother to many, and the loving mother of Isabel and Ian. This mother's day we want to give thanks to all mothers for their unconditional love and recognize their unwavering dedication to the endless hours of labor, teaching us and nurturing us, and for always making the impossible possible. We also want to pay tribute to all the mothers who have passed away and rejoice knowing they continue to live in our memories.

Happy Mother's Day!

With the excitement of the Kentucky Derby approaching, it is always good to remember those who have shared the passion and love of everything Derby. The beautifully sculpted bronze thoroughbred, with the Garland of Roses, praises Mr. Schifano's love of horse racing and his winning personality. The decorative flourishes represents his Italian Heritage that he displayed in his gifts of love and generosity through his Italian cuisine. I would like to thank the Schifano Family for allowing me the privilege to design this memorial.

Thank you,
David Lanham

Fond memories of the large, old Elm tree standing at their home inspired the idea of having one of its branches resting on their marker.

The McClures shared a lifelong love for supporting the local arts, so we thought it only fitting that we commission a local artist to sculpt a pair of cardinals perched on an Elm tree branch. The bronze sculpture has been paired with the natural contours and textures of the unpolished Heirloom Gray Granite.

Expressing and translating the passion of the French word, “Toujours, To love forever”. The Chaffee memorial is a true expression of endless love with its tablet cradling a very special sculpture that was created and formed not only by the artist but also by Mrs. Chaffee who was able to position the dove’s wing up and over, shielding and protecting the love of his life as did Mr. Chaffee who loved and cherished the love of his life, his wife.

The memorial was specifically created to represent Mr. Clark’s unique taste in style as an engineer. Utilizing geometric shapes in an overlapping pattern along with contrasting textures of dark polish areas, light unpolished areas, and rocked textures-- his memorial is certainly a one of a kind memorial.
