Autism Friendly Business Service providers in Louisville Metro area working to build stronger integration of services & partnerships to offer best programs to children with autism.

The Autism Friendly Community working group came together for the common cause of building stronger integration of services and partnerships that create easier access to high quality comprehensive services for autistic children. The working group partners will work together to identify and protect funding sources that are currently utilized for needed programs and will identify possible additional funding sources to support increased integration of Autism Awareness efforts and services. This group will develop and jointly utilize compelling data that will emphasize longer term costs for not investing in programs today. The partners will collaborate to determine gaps in services throughout the community and will be key in addressing the gaps through joint proposals and partnerships. The partners will strive to improve and refine existing programs by reviewing best practices to ensure that programs within and outside of the working group are providing high quality services for children with autism. Our next sensory friendly decorating classes begin Sunday, April 19th, and we’re excited to offer options for a variety of ages. These classes are designed for children and young adults who may feel more comfortable in a quieter, calmer setting. Each class focuses on allowing kids to decorate at their own pace, enjoy the process, and express their creativity in a supportive environment. Need a break? We will have sensory stations to explore and a quiet area to relax.

Little Nuggets Softplay Adventures is proud to be Certified Autism Friendly Business. Little Nuggets SoftPlay Adventures is an inclusive, thoughtfully designed indoor play space created to support children of all abilities, with a special emphasis on sensory-friendly environments.

Here is what they shared about their commitment:
At the heart of our facility is a dedicated Sensory Zone, designed specifically for children who benefit from regulated sensory input, including children with autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety, and developmental delays. This zone is separated from high-energy play areas to reduce overstimulation and provide a quieter, more controlled environment. The Sensory Zone includes soft, neutral color palettes and low-glare lighting, tactile and proprioceptive play elements that encourage self-regulation, sensory panels, textured surfaces, and calm visual stimulation, gross-motor equipment designed for safe movement and body awareness, flexible seating and soft play structures that support comfort and exploration.

Little Nuggets was created with input from parents, educators, and healthcare professionals, and is guided by best practices in inclusive play, sensory integration.
