Love is sweet… even when the flavor is fear. 💕🕯️

Every February, people look for ways to celebrate Valentine’s that feel different—something memorable, something shared. This year, our haunted house fundraiser is leaning into that contrast: screams and laughter, nerves and nostalgia… and something sweet waiting for you in the lobby. Through our partnership with B Sweet Cupcakes, guests can enjoy a Valentine-themed cookie and cake pop, made just for this event, before or after stepping into the haunt.

This is why community theatre events matter. Our haunted house fundraiser doesn’t just support live theatre—it supports local businesses, local artists, and local creatives working together to build something special. Every ticket sold, every treat purchased helps fund future productions, youth programs, and the experiences that keep community theatre alive.

If you love live theatre, local events, and supporting small businesses, consider sharing this post or tagging someone you’d bring on a Valentine’s date night that’s a little spooky and a lot meaningful ❤️👻

We truly had no idea who would come.

Then opening night happened.

What started as a risk turned into a full house all weekend — families, artists, and neighbors showing up for live community theatre and reminding us why this work matters.

Hadestown wasn’t just a show.
It was proof that local theatre events still bring people together, that storytelling heals, and that our community wants spaces like this.

If you’ve ever supported the arts, attended a local event, or believe community theatre matters — please share this video so more people see what’s possible. ❤️

Not getting cast doesn’t mean you’re not talented — it means casting is more complex than most actors are ever told.

Every community theatre audition comes with hope, nerves, and the quiet belief that this might be your role. You learn the sides, practice the song, walk into the room, and give it everything you have. Then the cast list goes up… and your name isn’t there.

Here’s the truth actors need to hear: not getting cast is rarely about skill. Casting decisions are about fit, chemistry, age range, vocal blend, storytelling needs, and how an ensemble works together. Incredible actors don’t get cast every day — even in community theatre — and that doesn’t make the audition a failure. It makes it part of the process.

If you’re looking for honest audition tips, real theatre education, and encouragement for performers navigating auditions and rejection, follow us for more community theatre insight and actor advice. 🎭

At our nonprofit community theatre, acting is more than performance — it's a healthy way for kids to process trauma, build confidence, and turn their experiences into art.

That's why we create fundraising events and immersive experiences like our Haunted House: to support youth theatre programs where mental wellness, creativity, and community come first.

Every event we host helps keep these programs accessible for the kids who need them most.

🎭 Our Haunted House opens February 6th, and it directly supports this mission.

Every theatre performer knows the first rehearsal is where nerves live—until one unexpected moment changes everything.

We were sitting in our very first Fiddler on the Roof rehearsal, scripts open and hearts racing, when our fiddler casually lifted his instrument and started to play. In seconds, the room shifted from awkward first-day energy to full-body chills and applause. That’s the rehearsal magic performers talk about—the moment you realize this cast, this music, and this story are about to become something special.

Follow us for more performer-real moments, behind-the-scenes rehearsal magic, and community theatre joy 🎭

One haunted house made our biggest adult production ever possible.

What started as screams, fog, and flashlights turned into costumes, sets, rehearsals, and a full stage of talent. Every ticket sold, every volunteer shift, and every person who walked through our haunted house helped fund this production. This show isn’t powered by a big grant or a corporate sponsor—it’s powered by our community showing up and believing in local art. When you support community theatre, this is the impact you create.
