Charles "Bud" Vivion III
January 13, 1957 - March 31, 2026

Charles “Bud” George Vivion III, born January 13, 1957, passed away on March 31, 2026, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. A beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle, Bud touched the lives of all who knew him with his warm spirit, and deep appreciation for the world around him.

Bud grew up in Laramie, Wyoming, where he was surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Snowy Range Mountains. His summers were spent working alongside his cousins at the Vivion family’s Leo Sheep Company and Rocky Mountain Sheep Company — memories he cherished throughout his life. The mountains became his sanctuary, where he loved camping, fishing, and breathing in the crisp, cold Wyoming air.

He spent the majority of his professional life in the hotel industry before boldly stepping into a new career with a restaurant franchise. Dedicated and hardworking, Bud built a second career he was truly proud of. In recent years, he embraced retirement and devoted his time to what mattered most: his children, grandchildren, and his loyal fur-baby, Izzy. Evenings on his back porch, watching the sun set behind the snow-capped Rockies, were among his greatest joys.

Bud was preceded in death by his father, Charles George Vivion Jr. He is survived by his mother, Betty Henry-Vivion; his sisters, Sherry Eklund and Janette Dolmseth; his children, Charles George Vivion IV, Brittni Warren, and Kirstie Knight; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry his memory forward. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love, stories, and the mountain air he adored will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

In Memory of
Charles "Randy" Crawley
June 12, 1950 - March 30, 2026

Charles Randall Crawley (“Randy”), 75, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. He was devoted to family, friends, and service to others.

Born in Ringgold, Georgia on June 12, 1950, Charles “Randy” Crawley was the youngest child and only son of Sarah and Arnold Crawley. Growing up, Randy loved the nearby Chickamauga Battlefield Park which fostered his passion for reading and history. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1969, after which he attended the University of Georgia (UGA).

In 1973, Randy joined the United States Air Force and completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas before being assigned to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. In Denver, Randy met Cynthia (“Cindy”) Mobley who would become his future wife, longtime friend, and later caregiver. Soon after they met, Randy was deployed to South Korea where he served as a surveillance seismologist, which required monitoring and analyzing seismic activity, including natural earthquakes, volcanic tremors, and human-caused vibrations. Randy then returned to Colorado, and he and Cindy were married on March 29, 1975 at Westminster United Methodist Church.

Soon after, Randy was assigned to Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, Florida, holding the rank of Staff Sergeant. He simultaneously attended Rollins College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and pursuing a Master’s in criminal justice. In 1979, Randy received an honorable discharge from the Air Force and returned to his home state of Georgia, where he and Cindy would remain for the next four decades along with the birth of their son, Adam. Randy was hired as a computer technician with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and his young family moved to Monroe, Georgia.

As a father, Randy exhibited great care and involvement. Specifically, Randy became a scoutmaster in Monroe’s local troops of the Boy Scouts of America – participating with his son’s journey from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout. Randy enjoyed many aspects of scouting and his friendships with fellow leaders – including designing pinewood derby cars, tailgating and ushering at UGA football games, camping throughout the state, and backpacking at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Additionally, Randy served (with Cindy) as band-booster president in their son’s middle and high schools.

Randy and Cindy divorced in 2004, but their friendship held steadfast. After a two-year move to Olive Branch, Mississippi to conclude his IRS employment, Randy retired in 2008. He returned to Georgia where he enjoyed spending time with and supporting close family and friends.

Following a stroke in 2017, Randy transitioned to assisted-living that could provide full-time care with his early onset dementia and other medical complications. While his short-term memory was limited, Randy’s long-term recall remained strong. Benefitting from local family support, Randy moved alongside his son’s career relocations to Stillwater, Oklahoma (2019-2021); Austin, Texas (2021-2022); and Longmont, Colorado (2022-2026). In each setting, skilled-nursing care staff recounted Randy’s pride in his son.

In Colorado, Randy, Adam, and Bryan Cook (Adam’s partner) reunited with Cindy. Randy cherished their time together, including weekly Sunday lunches and holiday traditions. The day before Randy’s unexpected passing, the family enjoyed lunch at a local Greek restaurant that Randy selected. The next morning, he passed in his sleep at his long-term care home.

Randy is remembered for his love of reading (especially military and ancient Egyptian history, aircraft, weaponry, and space), watching classic television shows and movies (particularly westerns, documentaries, and science fiction), creating handicrafts (including leatherwork and woodcarving), caring for his Papillon (named Penny), and having a playful sense of humor (often at the expense of his family and friends).

Randy is survived by his former spouse, Cindy (Mobley) Crawley; his son, Adam Crawley (Bryan Cook); sisters, Arnella Ballew and Dot Banks of Ringgold, Georgia; niece, Amy Roach, her husband, Josh, and their children, Luke (Julia) and Abby; and Cindy’s family members (sisters, Carol Kaltz and Linda Murphy [Chris]; nephews and nieces, Landon Garner, Kellina Van Gaalen [Josh], Jared Garner, Nicholas Garner, and Chas Murphy [Cassi]; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah (Clarke) and Arnold Harold Crawley; Cindy’s parents, Donald and June Mobley; and niece, Sarah Councell.

Randy’s remains will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with military honors.
