Sometimes divorce is best.

It doesn't need to be shameful. It's not a failure.

It's healthy to know when to make a change in your relationship.

I'm getting divorced in the healthiest way possible.

Here's how:

*We keep our kids' wellbeing as the priority and we maintain respect, kindness and consideration for each other.

*We communicate effectively and take breaks when conversations get emotional.

It doesn't have to get ugly. Respect & concern for each other is the way to go.

Don't get me wrong, the process is hard, the transitions are challenging, things can be emotional.

But we are consciously uncoupling as we remain family to each other. (Term originated from Katherine Woodward Thomas)

If you are having a hard time with life stress, parenting, or relationships, I can help you.

Fighting to make things work? I can help.

Deciding when it's time to make a change and what change is best for you & your family? I can help.

Today is a historical day for su***de prevention and mental health in the U.S.! The National Su***de Prevention Lifeline, now known as the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, can be more easily reached by calling or texting 988, or chatting on 988lifeline.org.

988 serves as a universal entry point so that no matter where you live in the U.S., you can easily access 24/7 emotional support. You do not have to be suicidal to reach out. Our trained crisis counselors can help you through whatever mental health challenges you are experiencing.

We're so grateful to SAMHSA, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Federal Communications Commission, and our other su***de prevention and mental health partners in the field for working together to get us here, and we look forward to growing and expanding our services and supports in the years to come.

Let's go easy on ourselves and other parents. The expectations and pressures are ridiculous.

It's ok. We don't all have to do the same things and spend all our time and money for the holidays to prove that we are good parents. You just are. Believe it.

Our Story

Welcome! I’m Lindsey Lowrance. I am a mother of 3 young kids (including twins) and a therapist in Colorado. Often I help twin moms go from drained and distracted to powerful and fulfilled.

It’s my passion to help moms and other women feel strong & confident in being themselves and find ways to lean in to their supports when life gets hard. One topic that comes up frequently is how to avoid divorce during that first chaotic year of raising twins. Follow my page for helpful tips and a Twin Mom’s Guide to different topics that any parent can appreciate.

Not a twin mom? That’s ok! This page may still be for you. Most of the information shared here is geared towards common parenting issues and other struggles that moms face with little-no time for self care, mom guilt, relationships changing after having kids, and general parenting topics. I also address mental health and wellness with ways to manage stress, tips for anxiety, and postpartum issues. So whether you are a parent of a single child, multiple children, twins, triplets, or adopted children, this page has something for you. Like and follow my page to see.

If you want more, you can explore my website at https://lindseycounseling.com/specialties/twin-moms and sign up for my email list to be notified of upcoming events, new articles, interviews and videos.
