Centerprise Inc. is seeking to hire a Medical Billing Supervisor

Job Summary:
A hands-on supervisor responsible for leading a billing team of 18-20 staff to assure our client’s needs are met. In a team environment, the Billing Supervisor will monitor individual and team performance and metrics, assure client Key Performance Indicators are met and be responsible for the billing portfolios. The Billing Supervisor must be flexible to work and train team as needed while also addressing client issues as they arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, including FQHC guidelines.
- Provide on-going process review and implement process revisions as needed.
- Coordinate and/or provide training for existing and new staff.
- Enforces billing policies and procedures with billing staff.
- Shadow and Mentor billing team.
- Addresses patient complaints, if necessary and resolution for clients.
- Assist in developing client relationships.
Ability to lead and develop team members.
- Supervise the requirements that need to be met by the Billing Team for each client. Monitor Individual and Team performance and metrics, assure client key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, and responsible for billing portfolios.
- Strong project and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and motivation skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities.
- Report on and troubleshoot issues involving claims and cash posting.
- Perform monthly audits on team members and report gaps to the Management team.
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience with Medical billing and leadership experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work with sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Customer Service Experience (Required)
- Must be flexible to work and train a team while also addressing client issues as they arise

Skills:
- Working knowledge of EHR systems required.
- FQHC billing experience (a Plus)
- Coding and/or Billing certification (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Must be able to work with spreadsheets and reports.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 & ICD-10 Coding, electronic billing, HIPPA, & State and Federal guidelines

Responsibilities:
Working with Centerprise management team, position is responsible for general operational support of the organization. Must be a team player, self-starter, and comfortable working with sensitive information.
- Completes various monthly tasks including client billing, processing invoices, receiving checks, preparing expense reports, tracking incentive payment programs, etc.
- Supports billing operations by scheduling various meetings including client meetings, staff review meetings, booking business trips, maintaining office equipment, ordering of business supplies
- Handling basic office duties, such as answering and routing phone calls, responding to emails, data entry, and reporting.
- Answering questions and finding information for employees, vendors, clients, etc.
- Manages Centerprise Facility issues and problem resolution. Ensuring that the office is well-maintained, organized, and secure.
- Manage new staff onboarding and orientation process in conjunction with HSO HR
- Responsible for maintaining organizational documents including policies and procedures, position descriptions, timelines, client contracts and client information including contract changes, renewals, expirations and deliverables
- Develop and maintain internal document filing; including shared files, tools and additional filing systems as necessary
- Maintains and fosters excellent client relationships.
- Assists in development of client proposals and contracts as requested
- Assist in development of presentation, educational and client deliverable materials
- Multi-task with varying priorities and projects
- Work collaboratively with all Centerprise staff and leadership
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty competently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Centerprise Inc. is seeking to hire a Medical Claims Specialist

Responsibilities:
Working in a team-based environment, responsible for the preparation and submission of insurance claims, answering patient insurance questions, and following-up on claims rejected, denied, or unpaid. Will provide daily claim batching and deposits. Assist with all other billing and finance duties as needed.
- Competently operates standard office equipment.
- Competently operates medical office software. Working knowledge of EHR systems required.
- Submits timely and “clean” insurance claims which includes current claims, secondary claims, and 90-day re-run claim. Consistently checks each claim for accuracy.
- Researches denials and unpaid claims. Coordinates follow-up calls to insurance companies and Clients.
- Accurately tracks and identifies claim denial trends. Monitors EOB’s for high and low rates to maximize reimbursement.
- Coordinates claim submissions with appropriate office staff as needed.
- Completes Aging List Process by month and researches accounts with insurance companies and/or Clients by fax, phone, electronically, and in writing.
Completes daily payment summary batches for each Client.
- Processes all Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial Claims accordingly.
- Regularly corrects and resubmits all rejections within appropriate time frame.
- Acts as a back- up for Data Entry staff.
- Regularly communicates procedure code changes for Medicare and other claims as appropriate.
- Generates reports and forms for staff, which may include Electronic detailed reports, Medicare secondary forms, and Nationwide forms.
- Quality Assurance
- Checks, corrects, and adjusts errors in patient demographics.
- Consistently reviews claims for accurate CPT and ICD-10 coding. Corrects any errors as needed.
- Provides support to Clients with questions on coding, insurance carriers, and other questions as needed.
- Written and Oral Communication
- Answers billing questions from patients, insurance companies and Clients.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High School or Equivalent (GED) required, Associate’s degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Management preferred
- Two to three years medical billing experience required
- Computer Skills: Microsoft, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:
Working in a team-based environment, responsible for posting cash, checks and EOBs to patient accounts. Will complete daily claim batching and reconciliation. Assist with all other billing and finance
duties as needed.

- Supports Medical Claim Specialists with documentation of payer remittance and notification notices.
- Review and Correct eligibility denials from payers on patient accounts to resubmit claims to accurate payer(s).
- Research and Identify payer timely filing limits then identify claims approaching timely filling.
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial, and other Medical Insurance carriers to resolve takebacks and unapplied cash.
- Demonstrates and applies basic knowledge of posting multiple deposits from insurance payments such as lockbox, insurance, EFT/ERA, credit card, and offsets.
- Experience working in payer and clearinghouse web portals.
- Thorough knowledge of claim adjustment and reason codes.
- Ensures posting batches balance to daily bank deposits.
- Assists collectors in researching and resolving cash application issues and completes all billing requests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Detail orientated and attentive to accuracy.
- May answer billing questions in reference to the insurance explanation of benefits.

Responsibilities:
Working in a team-based environment, the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Coordinator proactively establishes consistent and reliable resources for all claims/billing staff. The position is responsible for monitoring, identifying, and resolving team performance opportunities. The position will work closely with the Billing Supervisor to address known performance issues. This position will also be responsible for the preparation and submission of insurance claims, answering patient insurance questions, following-up on claims denied or unpaid, and assist with all other billing and finance duties as needed.

- Monitor individual claims specialist performance metrics and workload
- Monitor assigned team performance against organizational and RCM goals
- Assist leadership in developing report
Monitor workloads of claims specialists, ensure completion and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Provide feedback to Supervisor on teams to optimize efficiency and balance workloads
- Facilitate consistent communication among RCM Team
- Work with established RCM clients to improve processes and be available to answer questions for clients
- Track PTO and attendance for designated billing team
- Proactively identify and resolve workflow efficiencies
- Perform all Claims Specialist duties and backup/support staff in their absence
- Perform monthly audits on team members and report gaps to the Management team
- Train Staff
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High School or Equivalent (GED) required, Associate’s degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Management preferred
- Three to Five years medical billing/cash posting experience required.
- Two to Three years of staff oversight and monitoring preferred.
- Must be within driving distance of office. Position is currently a hybrid role, requiring in office days during the week.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 Coding, Electronic Billing, and HIPAA
