✨Romans 12:1-2 Hi, I’m Krystal Bolduc, Integrative Health Practitioner, Food Therapist, and founder of LYFE Nutrition (Living Your Full Experience). For decades, my own body carried the weight of autoimmune disease, PCOS, Hashimoto’s, and lupus. I know what it feels like to live in the constant battle of fatigue, inflammation, and food/ diet/ body obsession. But I also know what it feels like to be free. By choosing to heal through whole food, detoxification, and deep soul work, I released over 100 pounds of weight and inflammation, reversed my conditions, and stepped into a life of vitality, strength, and joy. Now, my mission is to help women do the same. At LYFE Nutrition, I teach you how to end the war with food and body once and for all. Together, we uncover the root causes of weight gain, fatigue, hormone imbalance, and digestive distress not just so you can feel better for a season, but so you can thrive for life. My approach weaves together the three pillars of LYFE Nutrition:

This week try this: Step into the radical ownership (not driven by guilt or shame but EMPOWERMENT) that:
"Every choice has a logical consequence or reward for that choice."
This allows us the pause to think for just a moment before we choose. This practice is how we step in and take responsibility for the outcomes. It is the consistency over time that brings the change.

The thing no one wants to hear or do while on a healing or health weight loss journey… (especially you/ we “Type A” ladies)

We can eat all the “right” foods, drink the greens, get the workouts, take all the supplements on time and yet still feel exhausted and inflamed.

It’s because healing/ health weight loss isn’t just about what’s on your plate, but it’s about your life.
It’s about how often you say “yes” when your body is telling you “no”.
It’s about how often you pour into others when you are running on empty. It’s about how you keep showing up strong, while silently depleted.

The hardest part of healing, the part NO ONE seems to emphasize is that we can’t out-supplement chronic “go-mode.” We can’t detox our way out of emotional depletion and we can’t heal a body that is constantly being overdrawn.

We ask; “What is eating at you?”

Our bodies are speaking through symptoms and if we don’t start listening, they will speak so loud we can no longer ignore them.

I’m going to say something that might challenge a few culturally engrained beliefs. But WHAT IF… you’re not actually sick, but your body is crying out the message of depletion?

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that if the body shows symptoms, it must be broken.

Fatigue? Something is wrong.
Brain fog? Something is wrong.
Hormones off? Something is wrong.
Weight gain? Something is wrong.
Anxiety?…. You get the point!

But WHAT IF the body isn’t malfunctioning at all?
What if it’s doing exactly what it’s designed to do when it doesn’t have the resources it needs?

Think about the world we’re living in, where the food is less nutrient dense. The busy culture of “DO MORE”= stress thats burning through minerals.
Poor sleep that sets us in a cycle of hormone disregulation, craving sugar and high cortisol.
Environmental toxins that increase the body’s need for detox support.

And yet many people are trying to function with the nutritional equivalent of running a car on fumes.

Different symptoms… but often the same root issue. Toxicity and deficiency. This is why in my practice we focus on rebuilding the foundation first.

Before extreme protocols and chasing every new health trend. We ask the simple question…
Does the body have what it needs to function the way it was designed?

Minerals.
Key vitamins.
Essential fatty acids.
Amino acids.
Real whole food micronutrient nourishment.

When the body finally has the inputs it needs, with consistency over time, it often starts doing what it was designed by God to do all along… Repair, Regulate, Rebalance.

Sometimes the problem isn’t that your body is working against you, but crying out for what it needs.

You didn’t just wake up one day and your body decided to go haywire and revel against you with weightgain and random symptoms. Your body has been watching, listening, learning for decades.

What you ignored at 20 catches up at 40.

What you’ve been teaching it is now showing up loud and clear.

We’ve got to move past symptom control (yes, weightgain is a symptom too) and get to the root cause. Every person is different, there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to the protocol. 🤍

Marked safe ❌ from not dying from protein deficiency. Anyone else?!

Somewhere along the way we became a protein-aholic culture and here we are chasing grams of protein like it’s some health sport.
You can’t open Instagram, or sit through a podcast without someone warning you that you’re probably “not getting enough protein.”
Walk into a grocery store…
Protein cereal. Protein water?! Protein bars. Protein cookies. Protein coffee. Protein everything!!

If you’re overweight, sick or hormonal the answer is simple!! “EAT MORE PROTEIN!” 🙄🙄

MEANWHILE, the longest living populations in the world, the Blue Zones, dON’t build their diets around hitting 120 grams of protein before noon. They build their diets around plants.

Yes… Beans. Lentils. Greens. Vegetables. Potatoes.
Whole grains. Nuts. And the occasional animal protein.

The IRONY IS that in a culture obsessed with protein, we are still dealing with skyrocketing rates of heart disease, metabolic hormonal dysfunction, and chronic illness.

The TRUTH.. is when we eat a diet in diverse nutrient-dense plant foods, the protein comes along for the ride. Plants contain protein. Sure, we need to be intentional, but not obsessed!

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is step outside the noise, put down the protein bar and cottage cheese and eat a bowl of veggies, rice and beans. 🌱

Turns out… the secret to longevity was never a protein shake… but dinner from the garden.

Binge eating isn’t simply about discipline. It often comes from not getting enough nourishment during the day and feeling disconnected from internal cues. When the evening finally slows things down, everything hits at once.

As shared in the episode, it’s not only emotional — it can be biological.
That’s when the cycle of guilt and starting over begins, while still not listening to what the body actually needs.

With all the talk about glyphosate, I hope this is helpful! One of the biggest things you can do is prioritize organic groceries, especially for the foods known to have higher glyphosate levels. Studies show that just doing that will significantly cut down your exposure level! The next thing I would recommend is a really good water filter! I like reverse osmosis for my drinking water because it is the highest level of filtration and easy to have at home.

Dave’s killer bread is on here simply because it has come up recently in reports. Yes it’s lower than many for sure. But if I’m gonna spend extra on organic I would rather spend it on one that was undetected if I have the option! It IS still a better option than many but I always choose Ezekiel bread or homemade organic sourdough whenever possible!
