We successfully accommodated seven residents at the warming station overnight and are considering extended hours on Monday, contingent on volunteer availability. If interested in volunteering, please contact me at 575-263-5196.

Our night at the warming station was a notable success, despite having only three residents join us. Each individual was significant, and I am delighted they felt warm, safe, and sheltered from the streets. I would like to express sincere gratitude to our exceptional volunteers who donated their time this weekend; they embody compassion. Special appreciation is extended to Melva Lujan and Nor Lea, as well as to those who generously donated blankets and snacks - their kindness is heartwarming. Lovington is truly radiant today, and I am extremely proud. I also acknowledge our Mayor, Robbie Roberts, and appreciate the evident love and care for our town. Thank you again we still have a couple of days to go.

Hearts Desire will be opening a warming station starting Friday at 6:00pm and it will operate through Monday morning. We will provide food courtesy of Nor Lea Hospital. If you know anyone in need of a warm and safe place, please direct them to 1109 South Main. We are still in need of volunteers if only a couple of hours. Please contact
