This moment meant everything.
When we learned how deeply musicā€”and the Great Lakes Chorusā€”had shaped this patientā€™s life for more than 30 years, our Director of Social Work Services worked to bring that love home.
Moments like this remind us that hospice care is about honoring the whole personā€”their passions, their story, and what brings them comfort.

The family later shared these words about our team:
"We can't say enough about West Michigan Hospice group. They were very friendly, kind, and thoughtful people that worked with us to make our father's passing go so much easier. The social worker Maggie went way out of her way to do something very special for our father. She reached out to the Great Lakes Chorus, that he sang with for 30 years, to come to his home and sing to him. Thank you everyone! ā¤ļø"

"There are not enough words to say how thankful I am for Aaron and his team. They were all so wonderful and supportive to me and my family during such a difficult time. I was stuck with doctors not being able to help my mom . After meeting Aaron , Jamie, and Bree the care my mom received was remarkable. I was finally being heard and my mom was finally getting the peace she deserved. The staff is remarkable and even when things were hard at my momā€™s nursing home they took care of everything. Taking the burden off of me so I could enjoy the time left with my mom. I couldnā€™t have done it without them.
My mom passed and in less than a month we had to call Aaron and his team again for care for my Aunt (my 2 nd mom) I was shattered but was so thankful to have Bre and the whole hospice team take care of my Aunt. In both situations they made every obstacle you had to face easier. They always gave great guidance and help during such a difficult time. They were always there no matter the time of day or night. I will forever be thankful to them for helping us in this hard time. They are simply the BEST."

This weekend our team had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Ionia Theater during Jake Slaterā€™s Elvis Tribute concert ā€” and what a night it was!

From serving up snacks to sharing smiles, we were honored to be part of such a lively and meaningful event. Itā€™s always a joy to give back to the community that supports us, and weā€™re thankful for moments like these where care, music, and community come together in perfect harmony!
