TO OUR CUSTOMERS & REFERRING DOCTORS

All three of our offices are restored to pre-COVID-19 hours of operation. While we are able to perform all oral surgery procedures, we do have to prioritize to accommodate the patients who had to wait while we were limited to emergency only. We have added every other Saturday to shorten patient wait times.

Our office proudly follows the infection control recommendations and guidelines set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

As such, during the COVID-19 recovery plan, we have taken the following steps to ensure the safety of our patients and staff:

• Limited Waiting Room – We will practice limited use of our waiting room area (no magazines, forms, etc.). Upon arrival, one of our team members will instruct you as to next steps and whether or not there may be a need to wait in your car.
• Masks/Face Coverings- As required by the CDC, masks or facial coverings must be worn by everyone entering our office.
• Social Distancing – We’ve expanded appointment times to limit the number of people in the office at any given time and reduce exposure.
• Screening – We’ll ask staff and patients general health questions, and some specific to COVID-19 symptoms (cough, sore throat, aches). We’ll also take the temperatures of staff daily and of patients upon arrival at the office to check for fever. Those with elevated temperatures will make arrangements to visit the office another time.
• Standards – We use industry recommended PPE and strictly adhere to hand hygiene, surface cleaning and sterilization protocols for your safety.

VISITOR POLICY

• Adult patients with appointments at any of our practice locations, can no longer be accompanied by a visitor, unless medically necessary.
• Patients who are granted exceptions due to medical necessity will only be allowed one caretaker.
• For pediatric visits, only one caretaker may accompany a minor.
• Patients who require a surgical transportation es**rt will need to ask their es**rts to remain in the car and on property during surgery. We will need a working cell phone number for them as they will be called once surgery is completed.
• All patients and visitors must wear appropriate face covering/mask.
• Visitors will have their temperatures taken and be asked screening questions upon arrival.

You can rest assured that our safety measures will remain in place and continue to evolve as more information is provided to us. Please let us know if you have any questions and we’d be happy to provide additional information.

Dear Patients:

As we slowly return to regular patient care, we want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff.

Maintaining a clean and hygienic office environment is standard practice for any dental professional – it’s an essential part of our daily routine. But given the current recommendations, we are working harder than ever to ensure our patients stay socially distant from each other, and that we minimize our patients’ risk of exposure to COVID-19 or any other infection.

Please note the following safety changes we have implemented:
· Our staff will ask you a series of health screening questions both in advance of your appointment and again when you come into the office.
· We will provide hand sanitizer for your use when you enter the office, and station it in the reception area and other locations throughout the office.
· Patient es**rts, unless deemed necessary as an aid to the patient directly, are to wait in the car and not enter the office.
· By the nature of our business, as a patient, it will not be possible to social distance at times during your visit. Therefore, in accordance with Governor Baker’s executive order; beginning May 6th, 2020, you must wear a mask when social distancing is not possible.
· We have taken magazines and other items that are difficult to clean out of our waiting room.
· Appointments will be spaced to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean fewer options for scheduling your appointment, but we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
· With fewer patients in the office, there will be fewer patients in the reception area at any one time.
· Every employee has their temperature taken and recorded each day. When you visit our office, we will take your temperature also.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.

We look forward to seeing you. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient who enters our offices, safe.

Thank you for being our patient. We look forward to providing you with the highest quality of care.

Sincerely,
Lowell, Nashua & Chelmsford Oral Surgery Associates

Whose Job Is It?

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everyone was asked to do it.

Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
