Halloween is full of excitement, but for parents, it can come with a mix of joy and worry. 🎃

We know how much you want your kids to have a fun (and safe!) night of trick-or-treating. Here are some simple ways to keep your kids safe:

🍫 Plan your route in advance. Stick to well-lit streets and familiar neighborhoods.

🍫 Stay close. For younger kids, hold hands or walk beside them. For older ones, set clear boundaries about where they can go and when to check in.

🍫 Be visible. Add glow sticks, reflective tape, or flashlights to costumes.

🍫 Inspect the candy before they snack. Wait until you’re home to sort through candy and toss anything that’s open or unfamiliar.

🍫 Make sure costumes fit well and don’t block vision, and dress in layers if it’s chilly out.

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning, and this year, FamilyLife Network is partnering with Puckety Presbyterian Church and A Finished Appearance to help make our Angel Tree Program 2025 happen! 🎄

If you’re a FamilyLife client and have children under 18, you may be eligible to enroll your family to receive gifts through this special program. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible!

Here’s how to qualify:

🎄 You must be an active FamilyLife Network client (seen in person or virtually within the past 12 months).

🎄 All children under 18 are eligible.

🎄 Enrollment is required through FamilyLife…either in person or virtually.

Through Angel Tree, each child’s Christmas wish list is shared with generous donors who purchase clothing, toys, and more for families in need. Gifts are then distributed to parents to place under the tree to bring joy and hope this upcoming holiday season. 🎁

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. 💙

Today, we’re pausing to remember every precious life and acknowledging the deep (and often silent) grief that so many parents carry after losing a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.

If this is part of your story, please know that your baby’s life mattered. Your grief is valid. And you are not alone. 💚

Take time today to light a candle at 7 PM and join the Wave of Light, a global remembrance honoring the babies who are forever loved and never forgotten.
