UPDATE!!
THANK YOU! to everyone who liked, shared and commented on the hit and run that occurred on Tuesday. The response was incredibly humbling.

I am happy to report that with your help and the help of some caring eyewitnesses, we were able to get a positive ID of the individual who accidentally hit my mailbox and drove off.

Keeping with season of giving and grace, I am letting everyone know that I will not be taking action against the elderly man who was driving. With the help of the community and other resources we were able to determine that the driver lives more than 90 minutes from here.

I am very grateful that no one was hurt, including the driver. I can’t say the same for my mailbox and a really nice Audi A7.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind all of us that distracted driving has consequences and luckily this time it was only a mailbox that was harmed.

During this season of increased travel let us all remember to be extra careful and not allow extra distractions put us or others in harms way.

To the person driving the Gray 2023 Audi A7 who hit my mailbox this morning at 8:20 am.
In the spirit of Christmas, before I turn over the evidence that includes your license plate number to the State Police, I welcome you to stop back and pay the cost of replacement of $63.98 for a new mailbox. You have 3 days to make your decision before you will face a hit and run crash to unattended property which is a summary traffic offense. Section 3745 of the vehicle code - $300 fine plus court costs, in addition to replacing the mailbox. Also, sorry about the damage to your right side view mirror.

We had an interesting day here at Huss Chiropractic. A water main break occurred around 9:15 am. In spite of other water main breaks - including the one on 982 - the crew from Latrobe Municipal Authority showed up and did a fantastic job on the repair. Thank you to our patients for your understanding during the repairs and thank you to the Municipal Authority crew who handled the situation safely and with consideration of our patients.
Please be patient over the next several days as additional cleanup and patch work is needed .
We are grateful for the Latrobe Municipal Authority crew and for all of utility crews outside working in these winter conditions to maintain our services.

Congratulations to this week’s CHAMPION PATIENT OF THE WEEK!

Julie has been a patient since February, 2013!

Julie serves as a lab technician at Hartman eye group where she has worked for 8 years. Prior to that she was employed at Forbes Regional Hospital in the outpatient oncology department for 18 years.

Julie and her husband of 21 years John, have 2 daughters, Isabella and Francesca. The family is very busy with Isabella involved in NCAA athletics and Francesca in High School athletics.

Julie cherishes her family time which keeps her very busy with sports and activities. In spite or her busy family schedule, Julie prioritizes her health outside of the Chiropractic office with regular exercise.
