Julie Lathrop – Chaplain
Julie brings a smile that can light up any room! At Bridge Hospice, she’s known for putting others before herself and sharing kindness wherever she goes. A proud Schreiner University graduate with a degree in Biochemistry, Julie has a heart for people of all ages. During college, she loved working with youth through church and helping start Bible studies on campus.

She’s been married to her amazing husband, Karl, for 21 wonderful years, and together they have three incredible kids—Kiersten, Emma, and Wyatt—who fill their home with laughter and love. Julie has always had a soft spot for the elderly and treasures hearing their stories and soaking up their wisdom. Her mission is to help everyone feel loved, valued, and empowered.

Blessed beyond measure, Julie radiates God’s love, joy, and compassion everywhere she goes!

Vicki’s passport has more stamps than a post office, but her favorite destinations are wherever she can bring hope, healing, and a little bit of heaven on earth. Whether she’s rescuing animals, sharing the Gospel, or walking alongside someone in their hardest moments, Vicki carries the unmistakable joy of the Lord like a lantern—lighting the way for others.

Inspired by her mother, a hospice nurse who radiated strength and grace for nearly two decades, Vicki learned early on what it means to serve with compassion. That same spirit sustained her through her own season of deep loss, as she journeyed with both her husband and mother through their final days—supported by the very care her mother once gave to others.

Rather than letting grief define her, Vicki chose to let it refine her. With a Bachelor’s in Christian Counseling and a Doctorate in Ministry in Theology, she’s now stepping into a new chapter—one where she gives back what was so freely poured into her.
Her life is a beautiful blend of mission and ministry, laughter and learning, prayer and purpose. And through it all, she remains a firm believer that every heart can be healed, every soul has a story, and God is not done yet.

Bert Gibson – Chaplain
Meet Bert Gibson, Bridge Hospice’s very own spiritual “Papa Bear”! With a heart as big as Texas, Bert brings warmth, wisdom, and joy to everyone he meets.

A proud Red Raider, Bert earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University, later following his calling to ministry by completing a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Life Christian University in Tampa, Florida.
Bert has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Kendra, for over 41 years. Together, they’ve raised four wonderful children and are now blessed with two amazing grandchildren — the true joys of his life.

Driven by his deep belief that “it’s essential to honor our elderly,” Bert pours his heart into providing compassionate, faith-filled care. His genuine kindness and steady presence bring peace and encouragement to patients and their families alike.

Throughout the week, you’ll find Bert leading uplifting Bible studies across multiple care facilities, ensuring that even those unable to attend church still feel connected to their faith community.
Whether he’s offering a comforting prayer, sharing a laugh, or simply listening with love, Bert embodies the heart of Bridge Hospice — compassionate, faithful, and full of life.

Zorita Hile – Bereavement Coordinator

Zorita Hile is a joyful light in every room she enters — and her mission is simple: shine the love of Jesus, love the hound out of people, and encourage every heart she meets!

She holds a Master of Arts in Theology and brings both wisdom and warmth to everything she does. With over 20 years of experience as an event coordinator and a background in marketing and web design, Zorita has worn many hats — but her heart has always been in service. She also served 7 years as a Life Christian Bible Institute instructor ( Affiliate of Life Christian University in Tampa, FL
), where her favorite class to teach was Helps Ministry — a deep dive into the beauty of volunteering, understanding personality traits, and discovering how God uniquely designed each of us.

These days, when she’s not offering comfort and compassion as a Bereavement Coordinator, you can find her chasing sunsets in her Live Life car — windows down, radio cranked up, and her sweet girl riding shotgun — soaking in every golden moment.
