After holding it together all day, kids don’t fall apart for no reason, they feel safe enough to. 💔

Dr. Claire explains “after-school restraint collapse” and why those big emotions at home are actually a sign of trust, not defiance.

If your child melts down after school, this is for you. You’re not doing it wrong. 🤍

Understanding how letdown works can help you feel more confident, trust your body, and better navigate feeding challenges 💛

Daycare vs. Home: why are they two completely different kids?

At daycare they eat everything, follow directions, and sit nicely at the table.
At home suddenly they survive on crackers, ignore you, and act like tiny chaos machines.

Totally normal.

Kids often hold it together all day in structured environments like daycare. When they get home, they’re in their safe place, their guard comes down, and all those big feelings (and opinions about dinner) come out.

You’re not doing anything wrong. Home is where they feel safe enough to be fully themselves.
