A Circle of Friendship

Caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk that journey alone. Join us for A Circle of Friendship, a supportive and educational gathering for family members and friends who are caring for loved ones experiencing dementia.

This monthly meeting is a safe place to ask questions, share experiences, learn helpful resources, and connect with others who truly understand the journey.
The group is facilitated by Barbara with the Garrison Institute on Aging, who brings knowledge, compassion, and guidance to every conversation.

Whether you are new to caregiving or have been on this journey for some time, you are welcome here. You are not alone. There is strength in community.

Today we brought a little Irish luck to our day with a visit to the Blarney Stone (no passport required) at Texas Tech. Legend says kissing the Blarney Stone gives you the gift of gab… and judging by the laughter and chatting today, it might have worked!

Memory Monday
This past week we kicked off something very special in our Memory Care community — the Furry Friends Project! 🐾
Our residents had a wonderful time during Adoption Day, where they were able to meet and adopt their new furry companions. These sweet pets bring comfort, joy, and meaningful moments to those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
It was truly heartwarming to see the smiles, laughter, and connections these little companions created. Sometimes the smallest things bring the biggest memories.

Memory Monday💜
This pass week some amazing young men stepped onto the pickleball court to support the Alzheimer’s & Dementia community here in West Texas. Every serve, every rally, and every point played helps raise awareness and funds for the 2026 Alzheimer’s initiatives supporting families and individuals affected by memory loss.

At Carillon, we proudly stand with our community in the fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia. Through programs like I’m Still Here, we are committed to helping individuals live meaningful, joyful lives every day.
