TTRC has undoubtedly had the best year and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of so many that we are so thankful for.
From the administration, the college, the development team, the Texas Tech Equestrian Center, the revamped TTRC advisory committee, the donors, the supporter, the participants, the families, the volunteers, the staff, and the thing that makes this all possible: the horses; we have been so blessed by each of you and couldn’t do what we do without you.
There are no words to adequately thank each person who has poured into the program, but on this thanksgiving day, we want to thank each of you for bringing the best to TTRC. We hope you have the best day and get to spend it with those you love.

Blessings upon blessings:

The Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center is nothing short of life-changing and life-saving. In the nearly three years I spent working there, I witnessed moments of courage, hope, and transformation that I will never forget. I found myself drawn back even on my days off, because being there felt like being part of something bigger than myself. I watched children and adults find confidence, strength, and joy in ways that still move me deeply. The horses are extraordinary. They’re gentle, intuitive souls who seem to understand exactly what each rider needs. This place taught me what true compassion and altruism look like, and I will be forever grateful for the way it shaped my heart and my life.

More blessings to TTRC

During my short time at Texas Tech Horse Therapy, I have already witnessed the incredible impact this program has on so many. I’ve watched the littlest clients go from only saying one word to two, and witnessed many others become overwhelmed with pride when they accomplish a new skill. I leave each session feeling accomplished, having witnessed the growth and development of our great clients, but more importantly, I leave knowing that their experience was sheer joy. The work being done by Texas Tech Horse Therapy makes me extremely proud to a part of this program. Way to go TTRC!

My name is Armida Hollingsworth and I have been volunteering at TTRC as a side-walker and a leader since Summer of 2024. I love horses and I love kids, and volunteering here is the best of both worlds! I love caring for and working with the horses and I feel calm when I am with them. I also participate in my own riding lessons when they are offered. I love volunteering at TTRC!
