Muscle of the Week — Week 8

Erector Spinae

This muscle group runs along the spine and supports posture, extension, and stability.

Why it gets overworked:
Poor posture, long days on your feet, heavy lifting, or core weakness.

How massage helps:
Reduces spinal fatigue, improves circulation, and supports long-term back health.

A supported spine allows the body to move with confidence and strength.

🖤 waiting for my next appt so let’s talk cupping!

Cupping therapy, one of my favorite tools for deep, lasting relief ✨

Unlike traditional massage that compresses the muscles, cupping gently lifts and decompresses the tissue. That space allows fresh blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients to move in while helping stagnant fluid and tension move out.

✨ Benefits of cupping:
• Relieves chronic muscle tension
• Improves circulation & lymphatic flow
• Helps break up adhesions and scar tissue
• Supports faster recovery for active bodies
• Can ease pain when nothing else seems to reach it

Those little marks? Totally normal—and they’re not bruises. They’re simply a sign of stagnation releasing and circulation improving. Most fade within a few days.

Cupping pairs beautifully with massage for deeper, longer-lasting results. Your body does the healing, I just help give it the nudge!!

Muscle of the Week — Week 7
Rhomboids

The rhomboids sit between your shoulder blades and help keep your shoulders strong, stable, and upright during work and workouts.

Why they get tight or overworked:
• Sitting at a desk or on a computer all day
• Repeating the same pushing or pulling motions
• Lifting heavy without enough upper-back support
• Slouching or tight chest muscles pulling the shoulders forward

How massage helps:
• Eases upper-back tension from work or workouts
• Helps shoulder blades move more freely
• Makes it easier to sit and move with better posture
• Takes stress off the neck and shoulders

💪 Muscle of the Week — Week 6

Hip Flexors (Iliopsoas)

This deep muscle group connects the spine to the legs and plays a major role in posture and movement.

Why it gets tight:
Sitting, repetitive motion, and core imbalances.

How massage helps:
Encourages better posture, reduces low-back tension, and supports smoother movement.

✨ A relaxed hip flexor allows your body to stand tall and move with ease.
