We had an amazing time participating in Upland Heights Elementary Career Day last Halloween! Our Molecular Pathology students helped bring science to life for kindergarten through 5th-grade students—with a perfect blend of learning and Halloween fun. 👻✨

Elementary students had the opportunity to isolate DNA from pumpkin slime, load gels, and engage in hands-on activities that sparked excitement and curiosity about the world of molecular science.

A huge thank you to our MP student volunteers who prepped pumpkin slime aliquots ahead of time and spent the afternoon guiding young learners through these activities. In the program of Molecular Pathology, we are proud to continue inspiring the next generation of scientists—one pumpkin, one pipette, and one eager young mind at a time!

A huge shout-out to our Molecular Pathology students who participated in the Lubbock Red Bag Tours! 🎉They spent the afternoon inspiring high school students from rural communities by teaching them how to properly pipette, run an eGel, and interpret real patient results. Their enthusiasm, leadership, and passion for hands-on science made a lasting impact—showing future learners that molecular diagnostics is accessible, exciting, and full of possibilities.
