Nurturing Center-Lubbock, TX "Pregnant and not sure where to turn? We're here to help!" The Nurturing Center is a local, non-profit organization serving the Lubbock and West Texas area.

Located in Lubbock, TX, the Nurturing Center is dedicated in providing each woman in a crisis pregnancy with practical resources to empower her so that she can choose the best option for herself and her child. Our Services include:

-Medical doctor referrals
-Free sonograms
-Access to counselors to help women know all of their options and make informed decisions
-Information and counseling about adoption referrals
-Infant care items (including baby clothes, diapers, wipes, bottles and more)
-Financial assistance for those who qualify

I spent 17 years inside those clinics. I know how the kitchen runs, and I know when safety is treated as optional.

Prop 139 is being sold as "freedom," but look behind the curtain. It removes the requirement for a medical license to perform abortions. They want you to believe this is progress, but it’s a danger for women.

Why lower the bar for a medical procedure? We require licenses for plumbing and cosmetology, yet Prop 139 allows unlicensed individuals to perform invasive procedures. This isn't healthcare; it’s a predatory industry cutting corners.

Without a medical license, there is no accountability. No oversight. Just a "health care professional" definition so broad it could mean anyone.

I’ve seen the "assembly line" mentality firsthand. When you remove the doctor, you remove the safety net. Women deserve better than back-alley standards.
