"Dear Nervous System,
You've carried me through every hard conversation, sleepless night, heartbreak, and overwhelming day. You've kept my heart beating, my lungs breathing, my body healing, even when I didn't give you the support you deserved.

This year, I want to say thank you and I want to show you some love."

Here are 5 ways to care for your nervous system this month (and every month):
1. Get Adjusted Regularly
Remove the interference. Restore clear communication between your brain and body. Give yourself the foundation for optimal function.

2. Prioritize Deep Sleep
Your nervous system repairs and resets during sleep. 7-9 hours isn't indulgent, it's essential for hormone regulation, mood stability, and healing.

3. Practice Breathwork
Deep, intentional breathing activates your vagus nerve and shifts you out of fight-or-flight mode. Try 4-7-8 breathing: inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8. Instant reset.

4. Move Your Body Gently
Walking, stretching, yoga—gentle movement signals SAFETY to your nervous system. You don't need intense workouts. You need joyful, consistent movement.

5. Connect with Safe People
Your nervous system co-regulates with others. Hugs, laughter, deep conversations, these tell your brain you're safe. You're wired for connection. Let yourself receive it.

Your nervous system is your lifeline. It controls everything: how you sleep, heal, digest, handle stress, and show up in the world.

This Valentine's Day, instead of just celebrating romantic love, let's celebrate the incredible system that makes it all possible.

Give your nervous system the care it's been begging for.

The room won't stop spinning. You feel like you're on a boat.

Simple tasks like standing up makes you nauseous or turning your head triggers episodes that last hours or days.
You've been told it's BPPV (crystals in your inner ear), Meniere's disease, or vestibular migraines.
You've done the Epley maneuver a hundred times. Sometimes it helps temporarily, but often it doesn't. And it just keeps coming back.

It's not your ear that is causing the vertigo- It's your NECK.
Your brain uses three systems to know where you are in space:

1. Vestibular system (inner ear) - detects head movement
2. Visual system (eyes) - sees your position relative to surroundings
3. Proprioceptive system (spine and joints) - feels your body's position

When these three systems send matching signals, your brain knows exactly where you are. When the signals don't match, your brain gets confused—and that confusion is vertigo.

Your upper neck (cervical spine) sends MORE proprioceptive signals to your brain than any other area of your body. These signals tell your brain where your head is positioned at all times.

When C1 or C2 is subluxated (imbalanced), your brain receives WRONG information about where your head is. The proprioceptive signals don't match what your inner ear and eyes are reporting, and your brain panics. This causes the room to spin.

Upper cervical subluxations also affect your brainstem—where all balance information is processed. This disrupts vestibular nucleus function, communication between balance centers, blood flow to the inner ear, and vagus nerve regulation (which is why you feel nauseous).

Your balance system can't integrate information properly, even if your inner ear is structurally fine.

Upper cervical adjustments by a trained chiropractor restore accurate proprioceptive input from your neck to your brain. After an upper neck adjustment:
✅ Your brain receives correct information about head position
✅ Signals match between all three balance systems
✅ Brainstem function improves
✅ Vertigo resolves

If Epley maneuvers aren't working, if medications barely help, if it keeps coming back—your inner ear might not be the problem. Your upper cervical spine is.

That "sciatica" everyone keeps diagnosing you with?
It's probably not sciatica.

True sciatica is nerve compression at the lumbar spine—usually from a herniated disc or spinal stenosis.
It's actually pretty rare.

What you're experiencing 90% of the time is REFERRAL PAIN that mimics sciatica but comes from completely different sources:

SI Joint Dysfunction - When your sacroiliac joint (where your pelvis meets your spine) is misaligned or inflamed, it refers pain down your leg that feels identical to sciatica. Shooting pain, burning, numbness—all the same symptoms, different source.

Piriformis Syndrome - Your piriformis muscle sits right on top of your sciatic nerve. When it's tight or spasming (often from pelvic misalignment), it compresses the nerve and creates sciatica-like symptoms. But it's a MUSCLE problem, not a nerve root problem.

Pelvic Imbalance - Pregnancy, falls, repetitive movements, poor posture—these create pelvic imbalances that put pressure on nerves and refer pain down the leg.

Here's why this matters:
If you're treating true sciatica when you actually have SI joint dysfunction, you're chasing the WRONG THING. Anti-inflammatories, nerve pain medication, even surgery—none of it will fix a mechanical pelvic problem.

Chiropractic adjustments address the ROOT cause. We assess whether it's your SI joint, your piriformis, your pelvis, or actual nerve compression—and we correct the dysfunction at the source.
We've seen countless people told they have "chronic sciatica" experience complete relief after we adjusted their pelvis and SI joint. Because it was never sciatica in the first place.

Stop treating the wrong thing. Get to the root.

Crazy travel. Insane weather. Long days.
And not a single headache.

“I didn’t have any headaches even through a crazy trip and insane weather.”

That’s not luck—that’s a nervous system that can adapt.

Many people think headaches are caused by stress, travel, or weather changes. But those are often just the triggers. The real issue is how well your nervous system handles those stressors in the first place.

The upper cervical spine sits at the very top of the neck and protects the brainstem—the control center for balance, blood flow, muscle tension, and pain signals. When this area is misaligned, the nervous system stays on high alert, making it far more sensitive to pressure changes, long days, poor sleep, and travel stress.

Upper cervical chiropractic focuses on gently correcting this imbalance so the nervous system can regulate instead of overreact. When that happens, the body stops bracing… and headaches don’t get invited along for the ride.

Because trips should come with memories—
not migraines. 🧠✨

“I didn't even think about my pain since I last saw you.” -Mary P.

That’s it.
That’s the goal.

Not managing pain.
Not chasing symptoms.
Not constantly thinking about your body.

When the upper cervical spine is aligned, the nervous system can finally do its job—regulate, heal, and calm the protective patterns that keep pain stuck on repeat.

And when that happens?
Pain stops being the loudest voice in the room.

✨ Less guarding
✨ Less inflammation
✨ More ease
✨ More normal days

This is what happens when care is focused on the root cause, not just the sore spot.

If pain has been living rent-free in your head, it doesn’t have to stay there.

You get to choose how you show up for your health.

Every day, you're making decisions. Some may feel small and some feel overwhelming.
Healthcare isn't something that just happens TO you. It's something you get to actively choose.

When you choose nervous system care? You're choosing to address the ROOT of how your body functions, not just chase symptoms around.
Your nervous system controls everything—how you sleep, digest, regulate stress, fight off illness, and heal.

When there's interference in that system (what we call stress on the system), your body can't do what it was designed to do.

Chiropractic adjustments remove that interference. They restore communication between your brain and body. They give your nervous system the space to FUNCTION the way it's meant to.

This isn't about fixing one thing. It's about supporting your body's ability to heal, adapt, and thrive, from the inside out.

Choosing nervous system care is choosing:
✨ To trust your body's wisdom
✨ To prioritize function over just managing symptoms
✨ To show up for yourself in a way that actually supports long-term health

You deserve a healthcare approach that sees you as whole. One that honors your body's innate intelligence and empowers you to take control of your wellbeing.

That's what we're here for.

Your frozen shoulder isn’t actually a shoulder problem.

You’ve been told it’s “adhesive capsulitis” and to try PT, injections, or wait 1–2 years.
But the real question is: why did the shoulder freeze in the first place?

Shoulders don’t lock up randomly. They freeze as a protective response driven by the nervous system—often starting in the neck.

Nerves from C4–C7 control the shoulder. When cervical misalignments interfere with those nerves, muscles guard, inflammation builds, and motion shuts down.
Upper cervical misalignments (C1/C2) can also disrupt vagus nerve function, allowing inflammation to stay “on” and adhesions to form.

Frozen shoulder is often the end result of years of compensation—neck imbalance, altered shoulder blade mechanics, rib and posture changes—not an isolated shoulder issue.

PT alone won’t correct a neck-driven problem. Injections don’t restore nerve function. Waiting just reinforces compensation.

Chiropractic care addresses the root by restoring spinal alignment, calming the nervous system, and allowing inflammation to resolve so motion can return—often in months, not years.

Your frozen shoulder is an alarm.
Stop chasing the symptom. Fix the system.

Not all health goals are created equal. 🌿
Some support your nervous system — others quietly sabotage it.

Here’s the truth about setting goals for 2026: you can want change badly, but if your nervous system isn’t supported, those goals will feel exhausting, frustrating, and short-lived.

The goals that actually stick?
The ones that help regulate your nervous system.

5 health goals your nervous system will support:

✨ Better sleep – Sleep is when your body repairs, regulates hormones, and restores stress resilience. Better sleep = better energy, mood, and focus.

✨ Consistent, feel-good movement – Not punishment workouts. Walking, stretching, dancing, and movement that helps release stored stress.

✨ Stress regulation – You don’t need less stress; you need better tools to recover from it. Breathwork, boundaries, nervous system resets, and support matter.

✨ Nourishing food – Real food that supports blood sugar, inflammation, and energy — not restriction or guilt.

✨ Regular chiropractic care – Ongoing nervous system support that helps your brain and body communicate better, making all the goals above easier to sustain.

Notice what’s missing?
Extreme diets. Intense programs you’ll hate. Unsustainable routines.

Sustainable health isn’t about doing more — it’s about supporting your nervous system so your body can do what it’s designed to do.

Which goal are you focusing on first? Drop it below 👇

Hormones don’t operate in isolation. 🌿
They’re regulated by signals coming from the brain and brainstem, through the nervous system, to every gland and organ in the body.

When the nervous system is under chronic stress, hormone communication can become disrupted — even if lab values look “normal.”

This can show up as:
• Fatigue or burnout
• Sleep struggles
• Anxiety or mood changes
• Cycle irregularities
• Poor stress tolerance
• Feeling “off” despite doing all the right things

The brainstem acts as a major control center for:
– Stress response
– Sleep-wake cycles
– Autonomic balance
– Hormonal signaling

This is why upper cervical chiropractic care matters.

Misalignment at the top of the spine can create interference in brain–body communication, keeping the nervous system stuck in survival mode. When that happens, the body prioritizes stress hormones over balance, repair, and regulation.

By restoring proper alignment in the upper cervical spine, we help:
• Improve nervous system regulation
• Reduce stress-driven hormone disruption
• Support more stable sleep, mood, and energy
• Create a foundation where hormone balance becomes possible

True hormone support starts upstream — with the nervous system.

Because when communication improves, regulation follows. 💚

Not all health goals are created equal. 🌿
Some support your nervous system — others quietly sabotage it.

You can set the best intentions in the world, but if your nervous system is stuck in stress mode, even “good” habits can feel exhausting and hard to maintain.

That’s because the nervous system sets the tone for sleep, digestion, hormone balance, focus, emotional regulation, and recovery.

This is where upper cervical chiropractic care plays a powerful role.

The upper cervical spine (the top of the neck) houses and protects the brainstem — the control center for how your body adapts to stress. When this area is misaligned, it can create interference in brain–body communication, keeping the nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight.

When the upper cervical spine is properly aligned:
• Sleep becomes deeper and more restorative
• Stress is processed more efficiently
• Muscles and joints release tension
• Energy becomes more stable
• Healthy habits feel easier to sustain

Instead of forcing change through extreme diets or punishing workouts, upper cervical chiropractic care helps create a regulated foundation so your body can actually support the goals you’re working toward.

Sustainable health isn’t about doing more — it’s about removing interference and allowing your nervous system to function the way it was designed to.

That’s when real, lasting change happens. 💚
