This phase feels confusing because it’s unfamiliar, not because you’re failing.

You’re making decisions without a blueprint, learning in real time, and carrying responsibilities you’ve never held before.

Of course it feels heavy.

That’s what expansion feels like from the inside.

Do not expect mastery while you’re still becoming.

Progress isn’t clean, linear, or graceful most days.

It’s awkward trial and error, doubt mixed with courage, momentum interrupted by learning curves.

Be patient with yourself.

You are not behind.

You are in transition.

And transition only happens when growth is real.🏆🔥

Everything comes at a cost.

We pay with our time ⌛, money💲, physical effort🏋️‍♀️, and spiritual🙏 effort. All of these things are of limited supply and can be used up.

For most things in our lives, we trade one for another.

Luxuries of any kind, including a healthy body that looks, feels, and performs excellently, come with a cost.

Instead of envying 🤢 something that someone has, think instead, "What did they give up in order to have that?"

Goals by May 28, 2026...

☑️Pass all StrongFirst recertifications for SFG, SFG2, SFL
☑️Pass StrongFirst SFB - single arm pushup, chinup, pistol squat
☑️Achieve 18% bodyfat

The video shows one of three rounds of day two of my five day per week workout at 5x speed. One round takes 5 minutes and 30 seconds. The whole workout for the day is 23 minutes which includes rest time.

Time investment...
⏱️Day 1 30 min
⏱️Day 2 23 min
⏱️Day 3 18 min
⏱️Day 4 46 min
⏱️Day 5 26 min

Note--- you DO NOT have to be in the gym all the dang time to get GREAT results! You just have to have the right amount of weight, programming, and intensity.

The lifts are designed as a combination of StrongFirst's Right of Passage, Grease the Groove, and Plan Strong, depending on the lift.

Single arm pushups, barbell military press, and chinups are Right of Passage.

Deadlifts are Plan Strong

Turkish getups, double KB sn**ch, double KB clean & jerk, double KB push press, windmills, pistol squat, and bent press are grease the groove.

I believe at some point I have had this conversation with every single person I've worked with for the last 10 years. Somebody at a family party, or a friend get together, or workers at lunch, comment and make fun of my clients' for prepping their food or bringing their own food or eating what God designed for them to eat.

It's none of their dang business!

And yes usually the person making fun is unhealthy and over fat.

I have some blessed friends from San Francisco who learned that when they wanted to invite me to their house, they just said, "Hey this is what we're going to have, and you can bring whatever dead animal you want to" 🤪. Love you Matt and Julia!

You can't make people be respectful and shut their mouths, but you certainly can just put on your healthy thick skin and look them in the eye with your clear vision and say "I feel better when I eat this way." And just leave it there.

You CAN maintain strength,, and even game strength, in one workout a week if it's programmed properly.
