YES, SOME CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE SITE TODAY. DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO "SHOW OFF" SOME OF THAT SCIOTO COUNTY, OHIO LANDSCAPE. SCIOTO COUNTY IS CONSIDERED THE VERY EDGE OF THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS, THAT EXTEND start in northern Georgia(U.S.A.) and end on the west coast of Newfoundland(Canada) In Ohio and New York, some of the plateau has been glaciated, which has rounded off the sharp ridges, and filled the valleys to some extent. The glaciated regions are usually referred to as hill country rather than mountains. (Reference: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100318170420AAlf02a).

MY POINT IS.....THERE ARE MANY, MANY ELDERLY OR DISABLED WITH NO INCOME ~ THAT MAY BE A NEIGHBOR.....AND, YOU DON'T KNOW! REACH YOUR HAND OUT TO CHECK OUT THAT PERSON OVER THE RIDGE......THEY MAY NEED HELP RECEIVING NEEDED MEDICATION. YOU COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE ~ WE OFFER THE SERVICE OR INSTRUCT YOU ON HOW IT'S DONE. YEP, YEP, YEP ~ MANY QUALIFY FOR NO OR LOW COST MEDICATIONS! :)

Hi Badtzmaru. The whole Appalachian mountains system may be divided into three great sections: the Northern, from the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador to the Hudson River; the Central

AS PROMISED......HERE'S THE EASY INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW FOR FREE MEDICATIONS:

Use ANY search engine. Type in the name of your medication ~ type a comma ~ then type "Manufacturer" . The info brought up should be the Pharmaceutical company that makes your stomach medicine. Then, go to their web page. Usually, the "Patient Assistance Program" information will be listed as a tab on their page ~ or within a tab on their page (like "Community"). Just check to see if you are UNDER their income limit for assistance. Don't "brush it off" thinking that you won't be..........because the Pharmaceutical companies don't use your local/state monthly income amount for assistance ~ they use the "National Income Levels" (which are always much higher than what the State allows before they will assist people). I, for one, do not qualify for State assistance ~ like Medicaid ~ because my Social Security is just above their income limit.

Once you print and fill out their form - take it to the doctor's office with you. The receptionist will fax your application, PROOF OF INCOME (a copy of last yrs. 1040 or your "statement of earnings" ~ I get one from Social Security ~ will do fine), PLUS a prescription for your medication from the doctor to an 800 # listed on your application form.

After that, the company will send your medications either straight to you - or to your doctor's office within 4-6 weeks (sometimes less). If it goes to the doctor's office, the receptionist or nurse will call you when it arrives.

And, that's all there is to it!

I forget now how long I had to wait after receiving my Social Security before Medicare kicked in; however, during that interim ~ I did this same process for me. My doctor was astonished!!! When I told her in 2010 what I was doing - developing the 501(c)3 and offering the services to locals who don't have a computer - she was delighted. Told her the patient would NOT pay me anything.... if they couldn't pay for their medications......why in the world would I ask for compensation for my services!!??

Coming soon......A Step By Step on how to receive medications at little or NO cost. This is the perfect site for it - and, it's the only way to get the instructions out to general public. Here, in Scioto, Co., OH, there are MANY who can not afford medications/ don't have a computer/ incapable of performing the task themselves. THAT'S WHAT WE OFFER - However, we also need funds to assist with covering overhead........will post "Step by Step Guide" in a week or so.......my time - you know me! :-)
