October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time to honor survivors, support those currently fighting, and remember the loved ones we have lost. At George Regional Health System, we are committed to joining this fight by encouraging prevention and making life-saving screenings more accessible for the women in our community.

That’s why, throughout the month of October, we are offering discounted mammograms to help break down barriers and make early detection easier:

🎀👟 Pink Pumpkin Run – Last Chance for Your Shirt! 🎟🎃

👉 This Friday is the LAST DAY to register to guarantee your event t-shirt! Wear it proudly as a symbol of unity, strength, and hope.

The Pink Pumpkin Run is more than just a 5K. It’s a day to honor survivors, support fighters, and remember those we’ve lost to breast cancer. 💗 Together, we’ll pink out Lucedale on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in support of the GRHS Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Fund, which provides financial assistance for breast cancer testing and care to patients right here in our community.

Event Highlights:
5K Run/Walk – Run or walk in honor of someone you love.
Kids’ Sprint – A special dash for ages 7 & under.
Free family fun – Games, face painting, crafts & giveaways.
Breast Cancer Honor Board
Recognition of fighters!
