Good morning, yesterday, a member of Rescue 37 reposted the murder of Charlie Kirk on his personal Instagram page that was connected to an unofficial R37 Instagram page with a very disturbing comment on the video (as if the video itself wasn't disturbing enough). I want to let the D37 family know that he has been removed from Rescue 37 completely. That kind of mentality is disgusting and will not be tolerated at all.

I have included a little history of Rescue 37. When Rescue 3 decided to go a different direction, it left a void in our racing community. I have friends and family (and at one time even myself) that race AMA District 37 and if someone gets injured, they need a way to get from the middle of the desert to an ambulance whether that be by ground or air. While I was attending school to become an EMT in 1991, I became a member of Rescue 3. I learned a lot from the group, was able to utilize the skills I learned and was able to help fellow riders. I stayed with Rescue 3 off and on throughout the years. I felt the need to create a rescue group specifically for D37. I brought the ideas to D37 and the ridership and with everyone's help, R37 was created. We have a great group of skilled volunteers that range from basic first aid to paramedic levels. We all take an oath when we become certified to help and serve without bias and we take that oath seriously. To have a member post something so horrific is unconscionable. I want the ridership to know that we value your health and well being and want the best treatment and outcome for you.

With that being said, and with great honor, I'm happy to announce Nacho Lopez from Four Aces MC has agreed to be the leader of Rescue 37. Nacho is a certified EMT that has been working in the field and in hospitals for the last 7 years in Ventura County. He has been a member of Four Aces MC for the last 15 years and has been racing for the last 20 years. He has volunteered with R37 on multiple occasions and you may have seen him work rescue at the Four Aces events independently from R37. He and the rest of the R37 crew have your safety and care in their best interest and you will be in good hands. I have been involved/served with D37 in some capacity for over 20 years and I have been trying to step back to be more involved with my family. It has been my honor to have been a part of the best off-road family/organization there is or ever was. Thank you for allowing me that opportunity. My best to everyone ~ Sheri Kibbe F411 HBMC

For over 5 years now, my husband and I have been to 95% of every D37 Desert racing event for the purpose of volunteering our time and knowledge to help with search and recovery of injured riders. Racing has taken a back seat and if any of you reading this races, imagine not racing and watching everyone else. Your bench racing stories become historic relic rhetoric and you miss just going racing. We put R37 together with the intention of having the clubs contribute enough of their own club members and friends of the medical field together to facilitate their own rescue and collectively between the clubs, that would be R37. Four Aces MC and SoCal MC have been good examples of how it should work. I would like to ask the other 18 clubs to please take notice and work on putting something together for your club. Guy and I would like to return to our normal lives. Guy wants to race more and I would like to cheer him on and be his pit tootsie. We would like to go home at a decent time and not be the last ones in the desert every weekend. Literally - every - weekend. We have a strong and great group of volunteers that would like to help your club be successful. It’s time to step up and figure this out because Guy and I just can’t do this forever. I think Guy putting up with me and helping me with this for 8 years (R3 and R37) has been a lot to ask and he has been a trooper. So if anyone out there is interested in being more involved and want to help with getting injured riders the help they need, please feel free to reach out to me or stop by HBMC and ask for Sheri. I will be happy to introduce you to the volunteers and teach you anything I can that would be helpful to you. If you have gotten this far, thank you for reading. Please share and get the word out so we can grow the idea of R37 within the clubs and help Guy and I get back to racing. Thank you 😊

Huge thank you to our volunteers that helped out at Checkers_mc!! And THANK YOU to everyone that donated!! We had enough donations to give each of the volunteers $100 to help cover their fuel costs. That is greatly appreciated!!!

Also, $4 out of each race entry goes to the R37 fund. This money helps to cover maintenance on the SXS’s and purchase supplies. We just spent about $4500 to repair and maintain the two SXS’s. So every effort from you that goes to R37 is SO appreciated so we can continue to help you get out of the desert when that time is needed.

If you are ever interested in volunteering, stop by and say hi. We will never turn anyone away. If you don’t have medical experience, but can ride a bike, we can use your help too. You can shadow one of our volunteers that rides so no one has to ride alone. Thank you again everyone!!!

A large national event and zero love for for the volunteers to help with their fuel costs. Not cool peeps, not cool.
