Good morning, yesterday, a member of Rescue 37 reposted the murder of Charlie Kirk on his personal Instagram page that was connected to an unofficial R37 Instagram page with a very disturbing comment on the video (as if the video itself wasn't disturbing enough). I want to let the D37 family know that he has been removed from Rescue 37 completely. That kind of mentality is disgusting and will not be tolerated at all.
I have included a little history of Rescue 37. When Rescue 3 decided to go a different direction, it left a void in our racing community. I have friends and family (and at one time even myself) that race AMA District 37 and if someone gets injured, they need a way to get from the middle of the desert to an ambulance whether that be by ground or air. While I was attending school to become an EMT in 1991, I became a member of Rescue 3. I learned a lot from the group, was able to utilize the skills I learned and was able to help fellow riders. I stayed with Rescue 3 off and on throughout the years. I felt the need to create a rescue group specifically for D37. I brought the ideas to D37 and the ridership and with everyone's help, R37 was created. We have a great group of skilled volunteers that range from basic first aid to paramedic levels. We all take an oath when we become certified to help and serve without bias and we take that oath seriously. To have a member post something so horrific is unconscionable. I want the ridership to know that we value your health and well being and want the best treatment and outcome for you.
With that being said, and with great honor, I'm happy to announce Nacho Lopez from Four Aces MC has agreed to be the leader of Rescue 37. Nacho is a certified EMT that has been working in the field and in hospitals for the last 7 years in Ventura County. He has been a member of Four Aces MC for the last 15 years and has been racing for the last 20 years. He has volunteered with R37 on multiple occasions and you may have seen him work rescue at the Four Aces events independently from R37. He and the rest of the R37 crew have your safety and care in their best interest and you will be in good hands. I have been involved/served with D37 in some capacity for over 20 years and I have been trying to step back to be more involved with my family. It has been my honor to have been a part of the best off-road family/organization there is or ever was. Thank you for allowing me that opportunity. My best to everyone ~ Sheri Kibbe F411 HBMC
