A visitation is a way for the family of the deceased to receive support from friends, family, coworkers, and others in the community. Many people want to express their condolences to the family but don’t know how. At a visitation, they can share their love for the person who died and support the grieving family.

Her commitment to her professional life was complemented by her active membership in several esteemed organizations, including the California Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Orange County Board of Realtors, the Riviera Club, the American Society of Women Accountants, and the Cypress Junior Women’s Club. In the 1960s, Patricia was the President and co-founder of the Cypress Junior Women’s Club, a philanthropic organization that hosted events. While she was President, the Cypress Community College had just finished its first buildings and needed a keynote speaker for the grand opening inauguration. They called on the only philanthropic entity in Cypress, California to give the keynote address at the ceremony. Patricia stepped up to the plate and gave a funny speech, starting with saying she had wanted to call in sick to avoid giving the speech, but she didn't do it.
