đź’ś Stronger together with Lufkin I.S.D.

Prevention Team Lead Jakoya Grimes spent time with students and staff at Trout Primary and Garrett Primary, continuing the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council's (ADAC) commitment to building positive, supportive school environments.

Through strong campus partnerships, ADAC prevention staff provide positive alternatives, meaningful presentations, and the Positive Action curriculum, helping students build confidence, make positive choices, and develop healthy habits.

Students and staff were excited to receive ADAC tote bags as a thank-you for being part of our prevention efforts and for supporting a positive, healthy future.

Together, we’re creating safe, supportive spaces for youth to grow and thrive.

Strong connections make a real difference 🤝

When young people feel supported at home and at school, they are less likely to struggle with mental health challenges or turn to substance use. Prevention starts with everyday moments, listening, showing up, and staying connected.
