❄️ Winter storm UPDATE: Due to icy weather & hazardous roads, all APW & Elite offices will have a delayed open on Tuesday, Jan. 27 @ 12noon, except for Beaumont which will open @ 10am. Our 24-hour phone line 888-237-5828 is available for any client care needs or new inquiries.

‼️Hazardous Condition Reminders‼️
⚠️Watch for Black Ice: Be extra cautious on bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas, which freeze first and stay icy longer.
⚠️Be aware of icy or slippery walkways & ensure you wear shoes with adequate grip to avoid slips & falls
⚠️Speed Reduction: Reduce speed significantly, as high speeds make it easy to lose control.
⚠️Skid Management: If the car slides, steer in the direction of the skid and avoid slamming on the brakes.

With a possible hard freeze approaching this weekend, A Pineywoods Home Services encourages clients to take steps now to stay safe.

Helpful reminders:
• Maintain safe indoor temperatures
• Cover or drip exposed pipes
• Dress warmly and have extra blankets available
• Confirm you have adequate medications and supplies for several days
• Bring pets indoors

Our attendants will make every effort to provide services as long as weather and safety permits. Please notify our office if you experience weather-related concerns or emergencies.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime APW leader, Tandy Hicks. Many of us grew under Tandy’s leadership—first in our Home Health division, and later as she discovered her true passion and strength leading our Home Services division. Tandy was a compassionate healthcare professional, an honest broker, and a leader who deeply invested in her team. She also had a wicked sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to give Dr. Neal a hard time.

Tandy was our organization’s first employee, a beloved leader, and a true friend. She will be deeply missed. Please join us in lifting her family up in our thoughts and prayers.

Memorial services for Tandy Elizabeth Pease Hicks, 73, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Largent Cemetery.
