In Memoriam: Retired Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Dru Martin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of retired Lieutenant Dru Martin of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, who departed this life on the afternoon of Friday May 23, 2025 at approximately 3:30 PM.

Lieutenant Martin faithfully served our county for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2016. Though his battle has ended, we take comfort in knowing he is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral arrangements are currently being handled by Floyd’s Funeral Home of Lumberton and will be announced once finalized. Services are expected to take place later next week.

We ask that you please keep his mother and the entire Martin family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Lt. Martin will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.🙏
