"Resiliency is something you do, more than something you have. . . You become highly resilient by continuously learning your best way of being yourself in your circumstance.” Al Siebert
It is not uncommon for things to unravel when humans experience distress. However, our ability to bounce back isn’t a straightforward process. Healing is an uncomfortable spiral of unraveling, learning, unraveling, learning, and unraveling to reveal the beauty that lies in your ability to bend without being broken. Our experiences and circumstances may change, and the story may not always look the same, but the result will always lead to growth.
Hi. My name is Electre’ Turner. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina. I am a trauma focused therapist that is passionate about healing. I don’t view healing as a linear process. I believe we all have the tools to heal and make a full recovery. Healing is grounded in our resiliency and ability to adapt to change authentically. I am willing to walk with you, as you explore the journey of healing and uncovering your authentic self. I have a unique therapeutic process that is grounded in compassion, empathy, nontraditional healing and genuine collaboration. I view you as the expert in your healing journey. I want to create a safe space to help you take the first step on the journey of unraveling, learning, healing, and growth. I have over 8 years’ experience in the mental health field working with a diverse population, to include adults, adolescents, and children. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, and trauma. My area of competence includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Person Centered, and EMDR with a specific focus on Trauma. I enjoy exploring different approaches and therapeutic styles in therapy to ensure you are comfortable with uncovering and being authentically you.
