Overall Severity
Moderate risk of severe thunderstorms today
Multiple rounds of storms expected throughout the day
Squall line expected late afternoon

Primary Hazards
1. Damaging Winds
Numerous wind gusts up to 60 mph, isolated up to 75 mph
Non‑thunderstorm gusts:
50 mph at the coast
45 mph inland

2. Tornadoes
Tornadoes possible throughout the day
Isolated strong tornado (up to EF‑2) possible, especially in hatched areas

3. Hail
Isolated hail possible (up to around 1")

4. Lightning
Frequent lightning; move indoors when thunder is audible

5. Flash Flooding
Overall low risk due to fast storm motion
Minor flooding possible if multiple storms pass over same area
(mainly coastal NE SC & SE NC)

Timing
All day: Several rounds of storms possible
Late afternoon: Rapidly moving squall line affects entire area
Winds peak: Late afternoon (both thunderstorm and non‑thunderstorm)

Wind Advisory
In effect through 7 PM for coastal zones
Impacts include blowing around unsecured objects, downed limbs, and potential spotty power outages
