Thomas “Tom” James Morfeld, 65, of Tryon, Oklahoma, passed away on October 18, 2025. He was born in Norfolk, Nebraska, to John and Lilian Morfeld, one of five children raised with strong values and a generous heart.
Tom married the love of his life, Robin, on March 10, 2006. He was a devoted husband, proud dad, and an adoring grandfather who never tired of listening to his grandkids’ stories—no matter how silly.
A diagnostic mechanic by trade, Tom had a natural gift for fixing what others couldn’t. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with coworkers and kept working hard for his family, even when his health made it difficult.
Tom loved his family, quiet nights at home, holiday gatherings, football weekends, Law & Order marathons, and the occasional dabble in DraftKings. A lifelong dog lover, he often joked, “Kids and animals are my people—adults can fend for themselves,” a reflection of his patience, kindness, and soft spot for the little and the loyal.
He is survived by his wife, Robin; his children Brandon, Carter, and Krista; his grandchildren; siblings Wayne, Doug, and Sue; and many extended family members who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Timothy.
A celebration of life will be held at the Luther Community Center on Sunday November 2 @ 11 AM to share stories over some food. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with service and funeral costs are appreciated at the following go fund me https://gofund.me/1b6742d02.

Robin would like to make a special thanks to the hospice care that attended to Tom’s last moments with gentle hands and a caring heart especially his Nurse Katie and dear friends Helen and Cindy.
Tom will be remembered for his dry humor, steady loyalty, hardworking hands, and the quiet love he poured into his family. His life was simple, honest, and full of love—and that was more than enough.

She enjoyed cooking and baking in which she would always be giving out tatertot casseroles, pork chops with her special mustard sauce, cookies, etc. to friends and family. She was always willing to give and help at the drop of a hat. Lovingly called Madre by most, she was exactly that, a mother figure to all. She was an amazing Mother, Memaw and friend who will greatly be missed.
