✋ Fine Motor Activities

❄️Sticker sorting: Sort by color/size onto paper. Great for finger isolation & grasp.

❄️Snowball transfer: Use cotton balls + tongs or a spoon to move them into bowls.

❄️Play-Doh snowmen: Roll, pinch, poke, stack, and decorate.

❄️Button or bead “snowflakes”: Use beads/buttons to create designs.

❄️Q-tip painting: Dot “snowflakes” with white paint on dark paper.

🤸‍♀️ Gross Motor + Sensory Movement

❄️Indoor “sled push”: Use a laundry basket filled with pillows and push it across the floor.

❄️Obstacle course: Crawl under chairs, jump over pillows, walk a taped line.

❄️Animal walks: Bear crawl, crab walk, penguin walk, seal slide.

❄️Balloon volleyball: Helps bilateral coordination & motor planning.

🧠 Sensory Regulation Activities

❄️Ice/“snow” bin: Use real snow (if you have it!) or crushed ice in a bin. Add scoops, cups, and little toys.

❄️Heavy work jobs: Carry laundry, push pillows, help shovel soft snow with a kid-safe shovel.

❄️Cozy compression: Build a “snow fort” with blankets and let them squeeze in.

❄️Calming corner: Pillows, weighted blanket, books, dim lights.

🎁Say & Play Alphabet Monster Kit – A fun, hands-on way to work on letter sounds and early vocabulary. Kids pull out small objects and “feed the monster,” naming what they see. This is great for practicing beginning sounds and expressive speech.

🎁Learning Resources Say‑a‑Sound Speech Cubes – Using foam cubes to practice phonemic awareness — listening to, identifying, and rolling sounds — makes early speech practice feel like a game, which helps many kids stay engaged.

🎁Mini Objects Speech Therapy Grab Bag – A versatile “I-spy” style bag of small toys/trinkets that can spark endless conversation. Great for vocabulary building and descriptive language.

🎁Ms. Rachel Learning Phone – Pretend-play phones encourage imitation of real-life conversation skills (greeting, turn-taking, simple phrase practice), which can strengthen early speech and social language.
