Contrary to what he says in this video, it is never the “fault” of the tech companies, because we as parents have the last word when it comes to our children. Do not give in to peer pressure, just because all the other parents are letting their children have smartphones and other devices. It is true what he says here: once you hand over those devices, you relinquish your role in your child’s life.

It is developmentally appropriate for toddlers to throw occasional tantrums. The important thing for parents to remember at those times is that it’s not your job to stop the tantrum.

Your main job as a parent is simply to remain calm and emotionally regulated yourself while making sure no one gets hurt. That is enough! It might also help to know that you are not alone. 💕
