I am currently developing a comprehensive resource guide for aging seniors in our community. The goal of this project is to create a simple, accessible booklet that connects seniors and their families with trusted local service providers.
I would like to invite you to partner with me by having your business or service listed in the guide. Please note that this resource will focus exclusively on services that directly support seniors in their daily lives rather than retail businesses. Examples include housekeeping, lawn and snow care, transportation services, and personal assistants who help with errands or household tasks.
Once completed, the guide will be distributed free of charge within the community. While many resources exist online, searching for reliable information can often feel overwhelming—especially during times of stress. My goal is to simplify the process, provide clarity, and help reduce some of the stress that seniors and their families may experience when seeking support.

I need everyone’s help. I am trying to come up with ideas to ensure people know of our services. I often hear that people don’t know about us and that’s hard to hear as we have been in business over 8 years. We have struggled getting our rooms filled on a consistent basis and being a small family ran business, that makes things difficult for our bottom line. We have a great reputation in the community and with those we serve, but I can’t help but feel like I am still failing because not all people know about us and the quality care we provide. I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be great. To all our current and past client family members thank you for all your referrals. When we do get new admits they are generally based off of all your positive reviews.
Adding, we have done billboards, booths at the fair, local radio commercials, Keloland Living interviews and commercials, ads in the local paper, consistent ads on Facebook and Google and have had communication with the hospital. We also participate with the chamber and have spoken at the rotary club meetings.

This past 18 months I have been working very hard to obtain my BSN. I was enrolled in an accelerated LPN to BSN program at Dakota Wesleyan University, which come to find out is the same college my Mom’s school partnered with when she was in college to get her LPN. I am very proud to say not only did I graduate in December, but I also made the Deans List. Of course the the cherry on top was this week when I passed boards. I am now officially Mandy Brecher, BSN, RN. ❤️❤️

Cinnamon rolls with the CEO! I brought homemade blueberry cinnamon rolls for the clients. They all absolutely loved them! I enjoyed baking for them and letting them all try out my newest creations to see if they are Grannie approved. ❤️❤️❤️. I’m in my Betty Crocker era.

These cards are a great conversation starter. I have been using them at lunch with the clients. It is fun to hear their stories and comfort them when they have tough answers (like the passing of their husband). I had received this idea from our friends at Nydsrom Orchard by Worthington (a wonderful place for apples, homebaked goodies, cidar as well as a social gathering). I highly recommend these types of cards to anyone. I am going to buy some for my own family to use during supper time. Use this as a reminder to slow down, enjoy those you love and share your stories even if they are memories. ~❤️Mandy

I was working today and I *might* have added some more Christmas decorations and trees for the clients. 😬😬. Everytime I came from the garage or basement I was bringing more decorations and a couple clients sitting in the living room would laugh and say, “now where are you going to go with that!?” 😂😂.
