MAMAS 🤰, You have to drink the water! You have to prep for the ultrasound ( yes, doctor scans also- but especially 4d5d ultrasound photos!) If you want clear photos and an active baby, the water prep💧 is key🗝.
While we have tips and tricks to help your baby cooperate, there is really only so much we can do if the baby doesn't have the room to wiggle out of a difficult or snuggly position.
This is an actual "redo" baby with a weeks worth of PROPER daily hydration prep on the redo ( peep the dates).

It's recommended to drink 80 to 100oz of water DAILY, everyday, especially the week leading to your appointment. This will help increase baby's amniotic fluid (also why your doctor reminds you to stay hydrated during pregnancy) which is the black area in front of baby's face in the above image. More water= better photos= more wiggle room for baby.

Coffee, soda and some juices do NOT count! Especially drinks with caffeine and carbonation-- these will make sonogram photos worse by increasing maternal belly gas and dehydration. This will appear as Blurry or fuzzy appearing photos. Gatorade can be helpful if allowed by your doctor if water is hard to manage.

This also does not mean chugging a bottle of water on your way to the ultrasound appointment- that will do nothing but make mom bloated and have to pee🤣.
This is a strategic and daily effort to increase your maternal and baby hydration level.

Ultrasound techs know! We can see if you follow the prep directions.
You are only setting yourself up for a subpar session and possibly disappointment if you do not follow the suggested pre appointment directions.

Do some moms have a great amniotic fluid level without proper hydration prep?!? Sure! Those are also most likely the moms that never get morning sickness, gain a total of 5 pounds during pregnancy all in the belly and have a quick 2hour labor with a perfect 7 pound baby 🤣 you know, those unicorn moms 🦄.

We will no longer offer a complimentary mini redo session for low amniotic fluid. Alternatively, a discounted future session maybe offered at tech discretion.

Bring up to 10 guests with you to enjoy the experience! Baby To Be 3D ultrasound studio is owned and operated by Shannon, and ARDMS registered sonographer since 2010. I’m a mother of 2 with a love of all things pregnancy and babies ( I’m pretty sure I get just as much enjoyment with seeing your little one as you do!) Your happiness and safety is of the upmost importance during your visit. Baby To Be3D uses state of the art technology including 4DHD( commonly referred to as 5D) that uses the most advanced 5D technology with the lowest output ( soundwaves) possible to get some pretty great photos of your baby! We also use FDA guidelines and limit ultrasounds to 30 minutes maximum ( as recommended) . My goal is to provide the ultimate mommy, daddy and baby bonding session. It is truly a one-of-a- kind pregnancy experience that you will remember for years to come. Pregnancy is such a short time, make the most of this life altering event and create memories that will last you and your growing family an eternity!
