We are so grateful to welcome Skylar Goins back to our team! With her previous years of experience working and volunteering with us, she has stepped seamlessly into the role of Life Center Director. Read below to learn more about Skylar and her passion for BRPC!

Skylar is married to her life-long best friend, Tyler, and together they have four children, one who is already in eternity. Skylar is an Amherst County native and a founding member of Christ Covenant Fellowship. Skylar was first introduced to our Center in 2021 and participated in our mentorship program alongside women in her church. After the mentor program, she desired to continue serving. She began to liaison for her church and volunteered in organizing operations at the Life Center once or twice a week. She became the Life Center Assistant in June 2023 and then was promoted to Coordinator in November of 2023 where she worked until the birth of her son in October of 2024. Skylar has a deep-rooted heart for our ministry and supporting women and families during their pregnancy. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the dedication of our staff and volunteers culminate in the joy of babies being born. In her free time, Skylar loves to collect salt and pepper shakers, go on mini road trips with her family, and have family game nights (her children’s favorite is Greedy Granny).

We are praising God today because this morning one of our patients accepted Jesus as her Savior after her advocate shared the Gospel with her! ✝️

It is moments like this that truly show how valued and precious your prayers and support are. Please continue to cover our patients in prayer, that their hearts would be open to God’s love and grace, and pray for our staff and volunteers that God would continue to speak through them. Thank you 🤍

Meet our Spring 2026 interns! We are so grateful for each of these ladies and the commitment they bring to creating a culture of life! 🤍

1)Hailey is a Senior at Liberty and majoring in Public Health to receive a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion. She is passionate about women’s health and helping others while being a light to spread the love of Jesus. Hailey enjoy lots of physical movement from running, hiking, pilates, strength training, and more! She was drawn to intern with BRPC because her desire is to help people in a faith-based non-profit setting with the goal to counsel, educate, and provide resources to anyone in need – BRPC does this every day!

2)Hannah is a Junior at Liberty and is majoring in Psychology: Counseling. A fun fact about Hannah is that she rode horses for sport and competition for 7.5 years through middle and high school! Hannah has always had a passion for working with women in crisis situations. Knowing that BRPC is a Christian-based organization focused on providing women and men with great care and helpful resources made them the top place she wanted to intern. Hannah knew that the hands-on experience she would gain by interning here would teach her so much about counseling and advocacy.

3)Sydney is a Senior at Liberty and majoring in Strategic Communication and a minor in Global Studies. A fun fact is that most of her closet is thrifted! The reason she wanted to intern at Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center is because she loves the work done here and wanted to be a part of sharing the message of hope to the people of Lynchburg. Getting the opportunity to share stories of the protection of human life has been such a gift and she can’t wait for the rest of the semester!

4)Gabby is a Senior at Liberty and majoring in Psychology. She has lived in Colorado her whole life! Gabby was drawn to the pregnancy center because she believes that life is valuable and precious. She thinks it is important to speak up for those who do not have a voice. Gabby wanted to intern here because she wants to be a part of a ministry that serves the Lord, and she believes that the BRPC does!

Did you know that Virginia pregnancy centers receive a considerable amount of funds from Choose Life license plates? 🚗🚙

In 2009 the Virginia Assembly established Choose Life license plates to be issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Heartbeat International agreed to the legislators’ request to serve the Virginia pregnancy help providers as the distributor of the proceeds collected and has continued to distribute the funds each year. Heartbeat does this without any profit for themselves, which is amazing.

The next time you need to renew your vehicle registration, consider going with a Choose Life specialty license plate! This is a simple, easy way to support your local pregnancy center 🫶
