Can you feel the ancestors growing closer—hear their whispers carried on the wind? How will you honor them? Will you build an altar with offerings of corn, fruits, candies, and honey? Will you burn copal, cedar, and sweetgrass to invite their spirits? Perhaps you'll place cups of their favorite libations or plates of beloved foods. Cherished possessions and trinkets passed down through generations, photographs capturing loved ones’ smiling faces—these are all ways to remember and connect.

Remember, ancestors extend beyond bloodlines. Heart connections are made with friends, pets, and those who have profoundly impacted our lives. Light candles in their honor. Sing songs, dance in celebration, pray, and listen—be present with their spirit. They are close; pay attention and honor them with love and gratitude.

The temperatures are dropping, and I am harvesting the last of the plants before the frost sets in. Here I am with my sweet herbal friend, Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil. This wonderful plant supports the nervous and respiratory systems. Tulsi enhances mental clarity and encourages us to slow down, helping us center ourselves in our hearts. It is a beautiful ally during times of transition and grief.

Happy Scorpio season! I am in the final weeks of my 44th dance around the sun. It has been a beautiful year filled with trust and surrender. As a double Scorpio, I have always explored the depths of the soul—both for my own journey and to guide others. However, this past year has taken me to a new level, teaching me that the time for digging into the past is over. Now, it’s about being present with joy and holding the past tenderly in my heart when it seeks to be acknowledged.

I've gained a greater awareness of my patterns and conditioned behaviors, which has allowed me to love myself more than ever. My inner child now feels safe enough to rest and be embraced by my adult self in the present moment. This is the most precious gift I could have ever received, especially since many of my reactions to life stemmed from the scared and traumatized little girl within me.

As an adult, I choose to take responsibility for my own stories and seek opportunities to grow, learn, and respond to life from my true self rather than my conditioned side. This work is challenging, yet I feel stronger, more loving, and grounded because of it. I am excited and eager for what the next year will bring. For now, I will take the time to rest and root myself in the freedom and spaciousness I have cultivated at the center of my heart.

These are my last days of the year spent with my dear friend, the hummingbird. The babies are the last to travel, and it's amazing how they trust and know the way. Hummingbird medicine has played a significant role in guiding me this past year as I’ve worked to bring color back to the eyes of my inner child. They adore the late-blooming Wild Daggas, Hummingbird Sage, Zinnias, and Mexican Sunflowers in the garden. Creating a sanctuary for my winged friends is of utmost importance to me. The exchange and healing power of love we share as conscious beings is truly remarkable.

Bow your head to honor the seasons of the heart — the compass, guiding light, and home of inner knowing.

❤️ Meditation on Honoring the Seasons of the Heart

Find a comfortable seated position, either sitting or lying down. Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths, inhaling slowly through your nose and exhaling softly through your mouth.

As you settle into your breath, introduce the visualization of the seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—each representing different phases of your inner journey.

Guided Reflection:

Imagine yourself standing in a quiet, sacred space where the seasons shift around you.

Bow your head slightly as a gesture of respect to the cycles of your heart and the natural rhythms of life.

Visualize a compass in your mind’s eye—its needle pointing toward your true inner north, guiding you with unwavering direction.

Feel the warmth of the guiding light within, illuminating your path and helping you navigate your emotions and choices.

Recognize your inner home—the sanctuary where your authentic self resides, ever-present and wise.

Allow yourself to sit with these symbols—seasons, compass, guiding light, and inner home—and notice any feelings or insights that arise.
Remain in this place of reverence and connection for a few moments, then gently bring your awareness back to your breath and your physical surroundings.
