Hello everyone,

I felt it would be helpful to share with you the different ways I approach working with any client. In a past post I discussed how I use Feminist Theory as my foundational approach for counseling. To add to this, I would like to share the method in which I use when it comes to working with those facing struggles with addiction. The method I was able to learn about throughout my internship and a good portion of my residency was the harm reduction method.

With the people I have worked with, I have not only been thankful to hear their stories, I have been able to watch them grow on their terms at their own pace. For more information about the harm reduction method, I will paste an informative link below.

Therapy doesn’t have to be scary. Taking the first step to make an appointment is huge. Give yourself grace and know that even though seeing results will take time, you are worth every moment of the time it takes to see yourself thriving.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to touch on a topic that I’m sure many people have their concerns about when it comes to therapy. The topic of cost.

When we finally take the action step to focus on our mental health it can cause some stress having to worry about if managing your well being is going to break the bank. While some may have insurance coverage with options that can help lower the cost of therapeutic services, others may not, and the thought of paying as a private pay client can be overwhelming.

Your mental health matters and being able to take care of yourself should be affordable. If you find yourself (or someone you know) in need of services and price is a concern, I want you to know there are flexible options.

I provide free 15 minute consultations that provide those considering starting therapy to get an idea of their level of comfort with myself as a provider and to ask questions that can provide more insight about the therapeutic relationship, private pay options, and if working together seems like a good fit.

There are many facts and myths surrounding mental health and mental healthcare and the first step to figuring out what is fact and myth is making sure that care is affordable so that you can ask questions 🦋

Good morning everyone 🌞

I am still waiting for a few more insurance companies to be added during the credentialing process. However, I do have an update on 5 that I am now currently able to accept which includes:

✅Cigna
✅ Carelon Behavioral Health
✅ Quest Behavioral Health
✅ Aetna
✅ Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Virginia

There are still about 5 other insurance companies I am waiting to finish the credentialing process with.

An additional update includes a new link in my “about” section that will take you to my provider page on Headway.

Again, I appreciate you all and your support as everything has been coming along with Hidden Lotus.

I will continue to provide updates as more things progress.

Hello you lovely souls!

I have an update for you all;

I am currently in the process of getting credentialed with several insurance companies and this is the final big step before Hidden Lotus will be up and running.

I will still be working at Life Stories to gain more knowledge before making a full transition over, so have no fear!

I just wanted to share this update so that you are all aware that once I have been credentialed I will be making a post showing which insurance companies I will be credentialed with 🙂
