Today we are wishing our wonderful lab technician, Sarah, the happiest of birthdays! Sarah is creative, hard working, reliable, and so so gracious. Not only is she making sure appliances for our clinical team are prepared and making retainers, she’s also constantly contributing innovative and helpful improvements to our processes/retainers. We’re so grateful for her!

Congratulations to Asher on completing an awesome smile transformation! This was a challenging one, swipe to check it out ➡️

Asher started out with crowded upper and lower arches (several blocked out premolars and canines that needed more room as well) and a Class II malocclusion. Though extraction of several premolars would certainly have been an easier option, Dr. Bates wanted to avoid extractions here as he felt they would potentially detriment smile esthetics in this case. Dr. Bates treated Asher with clear aligners in 23 months!

Dr. Bates had the opportunity to lecture to local dental colleagues and dental hygienists the other evening on “The Conservative Management of The Mixed Dentition”. It was a great evening of learning, good food, and fellowship amongst the Lynchburg dental community. He is always grateful to be able to teach his colleagues and elevate the level of care we are able to provide the Lynchburg community.

Thank you to all who attended and thank you to our wonderful team members who helped make this event a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨

Today we’re celebrating Amber’s beautiful new smile! Amber is one of our amazing clinical assistants and Dr. Bates was honored to design her smile.

Amber had “straight teeth” prior to her treatment but she didn’t love her smile. Dr. Bates used Invisalign to fine-tune her alignment, improve her arch form/width, and develop a gradual smile arc. He then touched up the shaping of her teeth afterwards. Amber’s smile transformation is another great example of why the little details matter. Congratulations Amber!!
