At Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, we’re honored to offer families more heartfelt ways to remember their loved ones. One unique option we provide is Parting Stone — a beautiful and tangible alternative to traditional cremated remains.

🔹 What is Parting Stone?
Parting Stone transforms cremated remains into a collection of smooth, solid stones that can be held, shared, displayed, or scattered in meaningful places. Each set is naturally unique in shape, color, and texture — much like the life it honors.

🔹 Why choose this option?
These stones offer a tangible way to remember your loved one — something comforting you can hold in your hand, keep close, or share with family members. Many find that this form of remembrance brings deeper connection and peace.

🔹 How many stones are created?
The process typically returns about 40–80+ stones from a single person’s remains — giving families meaningful options for remembrance and sharing.

If you’d like to learn more about Parting Stones or any memorial choices, we’re here to talk with compassion and support every step of the way.

As the holiday season approaches, we know this time of year may feel different for many.

Traditions can feel heavier. Empty seats may feel more noticeable. Joy and grief often exist side by side — and that’s okay.

However this season looks for you, please know you don’t have to navigate it alone. We are here to listen, to support, and to walk with you through each step, at your pace.

However this season looks for you, please know our team is here to offer support, guidance, and care whenever you need it.

Cremains in glass offer a unique and meaningful way to honor a loved one’s life.

A portion of the cremated remains is carefully infused into molten glass, creating a one-of-a-kind memorial that reflects individuality, beauty, and remembrance.

We are honored to help families explore memorial options that feel right for them.

Meet Maybe — comfort dog, emotional support legend, and now… part-time holiday pajama model.

He has arrived in full holiday attire and would like to make a few things clear:
✔️ the pajamas are, in fact, extremely comfortable
✔️ the matching look with his friend was absolutely intentional
✔️ and he is always open to friendly admiration of his festive fashion choices

(We told him he can’t wear his pajamas to work every day… but we’ll let you know if he negotiates otherwise.)

If having Maybe present during a visitation or arrangement conference would bring comfort, please let us know — he’s always happy to show up, suit up, and support the families we serve.

P.S. Maybe also wants to see your pets in their holiday best — feel free to share their festive photos in the comments!🐾✨
