Join Growing Veterans, GRuB (Garden-Raised Bounty), and South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) for a 3-day Peer Support Training event, February 13-15 from 9 am to 5 pm daily at SPSCC in Olympia. This training is FREE to attend. There is also an opportunity to earn 20.5 CE credits. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible! The Route Step Outdoors program is a peer support community built for active duty, veterans, and their families.

We come together through movement, shared space, and time on the trail—because healing doesn’t always happen in four walls. Sometimes it happens step by step, shoulder to shoulder, outdoors.

to the civilians who want to show up, walk alongside, and support those who serve—YOU are welcome here.
Not as spectators.
Not as outsiders.
But as people willing to walk with purpose and presence.

THE 2026 ROUTE STEP OUTDOORS HIKE CALENDAR IS LIVE!

Our Route Step Outdoors team is rolling into 10 months of hikes in 2026 — mountains, coastlines, tunnels, waterfalls, and even a ghost town.

These are our anchor hikes for the year, and we’ll be throwing in spontaneous bonus hikes, surprise trail days, and possibly another mushroom hunt as the seasons line up.

Whether you’ve been walking with us for years or you’re thinking about joining for the first time — this is your year.
