I truly cannot begin to express how excited I am for our upcoming North Carolina retreat.

In just 8 weeks, I’ll be gathering with 10 brave, beautiful women for a transformative island experience — and my heart is already there.

We’ll explore the coastline, breathe in the salt air, and nourish ourselves with incredible, chef-prepared meals designed to fuel and restore. There will be kayaking adventures, intentional bodywork, mystical moments of connection, deep conversations, and space to simply be.

Oh… and yes — there will be plenty of yoga.

Morning beach flows. Evening unwinding. Movement that grounds, opens, and brings us home to ourselves.

These retreats are about more than a weekend away. They’re about remembering who you are when you step out of routine and into possibility.

Some unfold exactly as planned.
Some stretch us.
Some surprise us.
But every single one shapes us.

Travel has taught me what my practice has always whispered: step forward anyway. Go for it. Trust the unfolding. Whether it ends beautifully or imperfectly, it becomes part of your becoming. An experience. A lesson. A memory woven into who you are.

In the end, it’s rarely the risks we regret.

It’s the moments we talked ourselves out of.

So take the trip.
Say yes to the adventure.
Let the horizon expand you.

It’s been a minute since vinyasa flow was part of my regular teaching rhythm.
For a long time, the world felt like it needed something different—
to slow down, restore peace, and reconnect inward.

As I practiced today, I was reminded of how freeing it can be to move with breath,
to find that sweet, steady rhythm of a vinyasa flow.
There’s something deeply balancing about it—effort and ease, strength and surrender.

This March, I’m returning to my roots.
An additional weekly offering inspired by Ashtanga yoga, blended with intention and awareness.

Today we opened the doors of Sol Flo Collective for the livestream Global Loving Kindness Meditation.

Inspired by the monks who walked 2,300 miles in 108 days for peace, compassion, and nonviolence — a reminder that peace isn’t passive. It’s practiced.

108 symbolizes wholeness and spiritual completion. Their walk was a spiritual offering. A call to remember that peace begins within and ripples outward through everyday kindness.

This is why we gather.

Being stuck in fight-or-flight doesn’t always look like panic.
Often it looks like tension, restlessness, shallow breathing, trouble sleeping, and feeling constantly “on.”

It’s the nervous system staying in protection mode for too long.

Yin yoga helps by doing the opposite of pushing.
Through long, supported holds and stillness, the body receives a clear message: you are safe now.

As the nervous system softens, breath deepens, tension releases, and the body remembers how to regulate itself again.

You don’t calm your nervous system by trying harder.
You calm it by giving it permission to rest.

Yin is that permission.

For me, it’s about integration.

Yoga keeps me connected to my breath, intuition, and nervous system. Reformer Pilates helps me maintain strength, mobility, and integrity in my body so I can move through life—and onto my mat—with more ease and confidence. Together, they create a practice that feels sustainable, intelligent, and deeply supportive as the body evolves.

I love weaving reformer sessions into my week as a way to:
• support joint health
• build core and pelvic stability
• improve balance and posture
• prevent injury
• stay strong without overexertion

If you’re curious about incorporating reformer Pilates into your own wellness routine, I currently have one opening for a private client. Private sessions allow us to move intentionally, honor where your body is, and create a practice that truly supports you.

We are all, whether consciously or not, building a life based on what we choose to focus on.

Where will you place your attention?

Because wherever focus goes, energy flows.

In the yogic tradition, the yamas and niyamas—the restraints and observances—were offered as gentle guides for tending our inner world. Not rules, but reminders. Ways of orienting our focus toward what creates harmony rather than harm.

We quietly redirect the current of our energy when we choose kindness instead of judgment. Responsiveness instead of reactivity. Care instead of control.

These moments may seem subtle, but they ripple outward—shaping our relationships, our communities, and the collective energy we move through.

What you nurture within you quietly teaches the world how to respond.

This is the power of focus.
This is the work of the practice.
