How Do I Defend or Explain my Faith and Not Conflict with Someone of a Different Faith? By Holly King.
As a Born-Again Christian, I accepted Jesus in my Heart at the age of Seven. As, a little girl, I imagined a man on a white horse, coming to defend me from the Dragon. At the age of 8, I had already explored the biblical book called “Revelations.” The concept, a damsel in distress became the vision of my memories as I aged.
Fast forward to adult hood, and I became a Holy Spirit Filled Evangelical and for a decade, I defended those in need through the power of prayer, as I wielding off Satan with the Sword of God.
As I grew to read about history and wars over religion, I began meditating as I prayed, and the art of listening and talking to God became stronger. I then realized I also was a blueprint of the cosmos, and I began reading more about other gods and deities.
Many gods/goddesses seem fierce but others useful. I would invoke the Virgin Mary, and my body would align with the feelings of motherhood and love.
Invoke Arch Angel Michael and protection came. (This is a Catholic practice).
However, drum up a shadow part of your mind and Hekate is not always as peaceful. Shadow work as Carl Jung, Psychologist mentions, is a deep emotional need to understand one’s dark side or as some may call it, SIN Nature.
The parallels of spiritual conversations to a God, can be complicated yet also, create an understanding of why someone may believe differently than you and have a different pronounced Religion.
But my question to others as a coach is this.
What makes you better or worse than another human being on this planet?
It is a plain and simple question.
Therefore, I never had to denounce my love for Jesus as a theologian. But I have allowed myself to understand why a different religion could teach me something about Love I may not know.
