Today is National Rural Transit Day.

On Rural Transit Day, and every day throughout the year, we pledge to:

Understand the unique needs of rural and tribal passengers and plan services to meet those needs.

Provide all passengers with helpful, courteous, and respectful customer service.

Coordinate with community organizations to provide transportation to as many destinations as possible.

Involve passengers, community stakeholders, and elected officials in service planning.

Assure that vehicles and facilities are safe, clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.

Invest in training and education that keep staff current, knowledgeable and skilled.

Contribute to an organizational culture where staff are motivated and successful.

Have a plan for potential emergencies and disasters and communicate that plan to all stakeholders.

Keep up with and invest in new technologies and funding opportunities to continually improve services.

Thank you to all rural transit workers for keeping the wheels on the road each day and making the world a better place.
Sincerely,
Team RCT

Our Mission

Our mission at RCT is to provide public transportation services for everyone that are safe, reliable, accessible and affordable to enhance the economic, social and environmental health of the communities we serve.

RCT cares about everyone in the NEK being able to get around. Many people in the NEK and Vermont do not have their own vehicle. RCT is here to get you where you need to go, when you need to get there. Whether it’s to a healthcare appointment, including mental health, shopping, your place of employment or anything in-between, RCT has a bus, a shuttle or a ride for you. Let us help you make life a little easier. Rise RCT. For more information, check out our website at www.riderct.org
