10 Years!

It's been a decade since we raised the big sign, took a deep breath, and opened the door (and my heart) to you!

So much has happened in that time; we experienced a surreal Pandemic, a move (4 steps down the hall 😁 )mourned the loss of loved ones, celebrated births, milestones, and each other.

Through it all, I start every day in gratitude for your support.

Each one of my patients, colleagues, and students amaze me.

Thank you.

**Here we go again!!**

We were BLOWN AWAY by how many of you leapt to action earlier this week when we asked, and we are ELATED to share: IT WORKED!! 🎉🎉🎉 Our community added our voices to literally thousands of other health care practitioners and supporters across Washington State and this effort to increase insurance reimbursements for all health care practitioners in private practice in Washington is gaining momentum!

Now we need you to DO IT AGAIN!

Earlier this week, we had you sign in PRO to support HB 1655 in the House Committee on Health Care & Wellness. NOW we need you to sign in PRO to support *SB 6161* (same bill but different bill number due to being in a different legislative chamber) in the Senate Committee on Health & Long Term Care. To take action again, simply:

1.) Go to https://app.leg.wa.gov/csi and select "Senate".
2.) Choose "Health & Long Term Care" from the "Committee" drop down menu.
3.) Select "01/30/24 8:00 AM" from the "Meetings" drop down menu.
4.) Click on the circle next to "SB 6161 Provider contract comp." to select that bill and then click on "I would like my position noted for the legislative record."
5.) Select "Pro" under the "Position" drop down menu and then include all of the fields required.
6.) Click on "Submit Registration" to get your PRO sign in recorded.

**You must do this before 7a on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in order to get your voice counted!**

**URGENT Advocacy Call to Action**

HB 1655 would require annual cost of living increases in the insurance reimbursements for any health care practitioner who works in a solo or small clinic setting. If passed, this would be a game changer for our profession - which is composed primarily of doctors working outside of large hospital systems. We need your help TODAY to support HB 1655, which just got scheduled for hearing TOMORROW!

Before 12:30 pm tomorrow (Wednesday, January 24), please take the following steps to help increase insurance reimbursements for thousands of independent healthcare practitioners:

1.) Go to https://app.leg.wa.gov/csi and select "House".
2.) Choose "Health Care & Wellness" from the "Committee" drop down menu.
3.) Select "01/24/24 1:30 PM" from the "Meetings" drop down menu.
4.) Click on the circle next to "HB 1655 Provider contract comp." to select that bill and then click on "I would like my position noted for the legislative record."
5.) Select "Pro" under the "Position" drop down menu and then include all of the fields required.
