Gina BoisClaire joined our IT team this past March. She has worked in the Medical IT field for many years. She is proud to play a role in work that makes such an important difference for our organization. We are very thankful she joined our team at BCMS!

Q: How did your career at BCMS start?
After a long tenure at a private practice in Jacksonville, I was ready to pursue a new opportunity. While reviewing career openings at BCMS, I was pleased to discover a position within the IT department focused on Health Informatics. I value the opportunity to work close to home while supporting clinicians in the community of which I am a part of.

Q: Why did you decide to work in the IT/Medical field?
I did not initially set out to pursue a career in IT within the medical field; rather, the opportunity developed naturally over time. My experience began with managing paper charts in medical records and expanded to working in both the front and back office of a medical practice. Transitioning to supporting the electronic medical record system was a logical progression. Witnessing the evolution of medical records from paper-based systems to fully electronic platforms has been both insightful and rewarding.

Q: What do your day-to-day responsibilities usually look like?
As a new member of BCMS, I am currently training with a senior team member who is guiding me through established processes and best practices. Right now, we are focused on configuring the system to meet upcoming regulatory requirements. My daily activities include extensive review of documentation, participation in educational sessions, and hands-on learning through shadowing.

Q: What makes you proud to be an IT professional?
I take pride in being an IT professional because I am passionate about making a meaningful impact on others’ work lives. Supporting clinicians who provide care to patients is a critical component of any organization. Contributing to this mission is deeply fulfilling, and I am proud to play a role in work that makes such an important difference.

Q: What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I enjoy spending time on the water with my family, especially boating. My husband, our two daughters, and I take every opportunity to be outdoors, making the most of Florida’s sunshine together.

📢INTRODUCING - DRY NEEDLING

Dry Needling is a powerful tool we use alongside your therapy plan to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support faster recovery. It involves the use of very small, thin needles-similar to acupuncture- to target tight or sensitive areas in your muscles. Most people are surprised at how comfortable it is!

Do you suffer from….
➡️low back pain
➡️chronic pain
➡️arthritis
➡️headaches/migraines
➡️plantar fasciitis
➡️tendon pain
➡️sciatica
➡️fibromyalgia….

Have you tried multiple other interventions without success?

Dry needling may be perfect for you!

If you're ready to move better and feel better, dry needling could be a great addition to your care.

Michelle Coburn joined our HR team last September. She brings over ten years of experience in the Human Resources field and is helping make the department better than ever. She is dedicated, compassionate and always willing to help our staff with a smiling face. We are very thankful she joined our team at BCMS!

Q: How did your career at BCMS start? I started my career at Baker County Medical Services about eight months ago because I wanted to be part of the health care field and contribute to something meaningful. From the beginning, I was drawn to the organization's focus on caring for the community.

Q: Why did you decide to work in the medical field? I decided to work in Human Resources in the medical field because I've always been passionate about caring for others and supporting the people around me. While I may not be providing direct patient care, I realized I could make just as much of an impact by supporting the heatlh care professionals who do.

Q: What do your day-to-day responsibilities usually look like? In my current role, I handle employee support, assist with insurance benefits, and help welcome and guide new hires through orientation and onboarding. I enjoy being someone employees can rely on and helping create a positive experience from day one.

Q: What’s one fun fact about yourself? My greatest joy in life is spending time with my family-especially my beautiful granddaughter-and making memories together. I love lake days, camping, my fur babies and time spent outdoors.

More than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Transplants rely on the generosity of organ, eye and tissue donors, and there are not enough donors to meet the need. You can help by registering to be a donor at your local DMV or simply by clicking https://donatelife.net/
