The MCEC Heroic Hearts Scholarship provides military-connected students with a powerful opportunity to pursue higher education. In partnership with Columbia Southern University (CSU), this scholarship awards full tuition to one deserving student each year.
Military-connected students demonstrate resilience, leadership, and determination as they navigate the challenges of military life. This scholarship helps open doors to their future by making a college education more accessible.

Scholarship details
Award: Full tuition to Columbia Southern University
Eligibility: Military-connected high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates
Programs: CSU offers 90+ degree programs and certificates, with flexible, accredited online learning designed to fit the needs of military families
Timeline: Applications open fall 2025 and close mid-February 2026. The recipient will be announced during Month of the Military Child – April 2026.

Who: Military families, service members, retirees, contractors, and civilians with access to MacDill Air Force Base.
What: A food pantry and resource hub event providing essential food and support services in response to Military Food insecurity and during the ongoing government shutdown.
When: 5 Nov 1200-1530
Where: MacDill Air Force Base, CENTCOM LOT 8 (Near the CENTCOM Family Readiness Center)
Why: To alleviate financial and emotional stress caused by the government shutdown by ensuring access to nutritious food and critical resources for those affected.
