I am hoping to be able to provide information daily to my clientele on the benefits of massage therapy. Have a place where either current clientele or new clientele can come and either review their massage or read reviews. I am very passionate about what I do because I know first hand exactly what the benefits can mean to a person. I became interested in massage therapy years ago when my son due to chronic ear infections and a weird reaction after immunizations at 6 months of age. He went from an infant meeting his milestones saying Mama, Dada, Bobba to nothing. From sitting up to flopping completely over when you tried to sit him up and then his legs became kind of stiff. Finally at almost 2 yrs of age and constant complaints from me he has tubes put in both ears. With 5 days he was speaking 3 to 4 word sentences, but still stiff at times cried with his legs and was consolable at times due to the overload of information his brain was receiving. My mom talked me into MISD for evaluations I had pretty much come to terms my son was autistic so I was prepared to hear the words and figure out the best way to handle this so my last child and only son would have the best chance at life as possible. Those words didn't come instead they said it's all due to ears or something unknown but not autism I cannot tell you what this was like during this time. So began years of PT, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Pre Primary Impaired programs it was in PT( Physical Therapy) I was given massage techniques to relax those tight muscles and stretches to strengthen his weak legs muscles and his back. I was so impressed at the way it calmed him as well as got those once stiff legs more like that of a toddler. Massage Therapy Works our experience proved it but it wasn't until Sept 2010 I began School at Irene's Myomassolgy Institute due to already attending U.O.P full time for my associates in Healthcare Admin/Medical billing. I graduated a little behind due to a car accident that left me with a nasty little head injuries bouts of not being able to think clearly or make my thoughts verbal, but I did it I graduated in March of 2012. I worked at several different massage salons and never really felt like I was able to work at my full potential or get paid what I knew I was worth, so Sept 2013 I prayed about it and asked God if this isn't going to go anywhere then don't even let me get started but nothing stood in my way and I opened my home studio with a room completely dedicated to massage therapy and here I am months later and things gradually becoming everything I'd dreamt working for myself would be. Future goal..... yes there is more to come back to school and this time it's to become a physical therapy.
