What a beautiful day celebrating the dedication of the Don Simpkins Weight Room at Macomb High School!
Our very own Shirley Simpkins Benson, a cherished resident here at Wesley Village, was the guest of honor, joined by her children as the school and community paid tribute to her late husband, Don Simpkins.
Don’s long career at Macomb High School touched countless lives, and that legacy of encouragement, hard work, and heart lives on in the students and staff who continue to walk those halls.
Many Wesley Village residents came out to show their love and support, celebrating alongside the Simpkins family and the entire Macomb community. It was truly a day filled with pride, remembrance, and togetherness.
What a wonderful way to honor a life that continues to inspire generations.
